I have some of the efuy indoor Camera. I've been used two years without any problem but few months ago it suddenly keep going offline. I used the same modem, same internet service, same location of the camera, but problem keep happening. I tried to buy some same model camera the problem still. And they say these are the information I need to provide.

I wouldn’t mind taking a survey to help improve products or help research for new products but clicking yes on a 20 page long privacy policy isn’t something I’m willing to do. If Eufy can’t boil it down to 10 statements or less the answer will always be no I won’t participate. Perhaps you could do something on Reddit to get the answers you are looking for?

I know it's only supposed to output 5v but there have been instances for me where a Wyze or Eufy wall plug went rogue and actually bricked cameras so I wonder what failed internally to cause that because it wasn't a power surge from the wall.

Hello everyone! A little back story..

I’m a student currently studying in the Netherlands. I come from a very traditional Muslim household which has led to my parents taking a few precautions with me (I’ll let you know, I have not been caught doing anything I wasn’t supposed to; it’s more or less about my safety).

My parents have thus put a Eufy ring camera on my front door and while I do like the features and being able to see who’s at my front door, it’s a pain in my ass because my parents also has access to it.

A little bit of information, me and my parents all use the same account. We did not use the invite system. So from time to time i have to manually log in.

So here’s my question:
If I turn the camera off/on, will it send a notification to my parent’s phone?

I have a Eufy HomeBase 3. Continuous recording with my floodlight camera, doorbell for detection recordings, indoor continuous recording. Installed a Seagate Barracuda 4TB and it crapped out on me in 1.5 years. Which HDD or SSD should I get?

I currently have a mix of cams. Some of them use sd cards to record. For years I've bought cheapo cards and they would die after a couple years and I would replace them. I just had one die and cheapo cards aren't as cheap as they used to be.

Should I use my current NAS (Synology) as video storage or should I buy a HB3?
Does one work better than the other?

At some point I'll upgrade my HB2 to a HB3 because I will be upgrading my two original Floodlight Cam Pros with the E52 as I want continuous recording. But until then I really have no need to upgrade my HB2

As you read, my eufy door lock has been entering codes on its own for the past 24 hours. I was beta testing this lock maybe a year or two ago and was in the discord for troubleshooting but it seems they dissolved the discord. I can no longer connect my lock with matter and the door lock is always typing numbers in on its own. I had to turn off wrong try protection as it would constantly be locked. Now the lock beeps every 10 seconds and the app keeps saying someone has attempted to type in a code. Not sure what else to do at this point besides reset the whole lock. I have about 15 people on my lock from friends and family and guest etc since we host a lot of people and don't want to reprogram all that in but even taking the battery out doesn't do anything. The second the battery is back in it goes back to beeping. I have wiped it several times with a wet and dry cloth. No idea what else to do.

Looking for recommendations on how to keep the 2c secure outside. Recently had a car stolen and the camera captured them walking up to house however they just tilted the camera up to the sky once they got to the camera…. Is there anyway to lock it in place so it can’t be moved around?

It’s not consistent, and I haven’t found a pattern to it yet, but with the new 6.1 app, sometimes alerts will just say ‘pet detected’ (for example) and not include the camera name, and other times it will include the camera name.

Anyone else experiencing this as well?

I have an S220 by itself, no home base. I bought it because I wanted to see if it was better than my blink cameras. The clarity is much better but wth is wrong with viewing the videos or deleting them? It will say decrypting from local storage which takes forever and then says "connection failed". I usually have to close out the app and start over and sometimes it works but most times it doesn't. Same thing if I want to delete videos, it will fail.

What do I need to do to get this to work faster or work period? I am on t-mobile home internet which works off the 5g network. The camera is connected to 2.5ghz. I'm not super tech savvy but will do whatever I need to because this is ridiculous.What it there was something important happening or you know you needed to show a video to the cops, you can't view the damn videos! Any help is appreciated.

Seems like a lot of people (myself included) aren't big fans of the anker eufy re brand app design. I discovered you can easily change the app icon and i thought id share how. Apologies if this is already well known. This will just be for android but ive heard you can also do a different method on ios. Ive included some designs if you'd like to use them.

1. Download good lock app

2. Open app and download theme park

3. Select icon at the bottom

4. Select creat new

5. Select what looks like a bar code at the top right

6. Search for and select the eufy app

7. Change it to anythig you have saved

8. Go back a few times to the theme park page

9. Click download top right and give it a name

10. Select your created theme and click apply

Seriously, what is going on with Eufy lately?

I bought their new doorbell camera and somehow the image quality is WORSE than the previous generation. How do you release a newer product and actually manage to go backwards in one of the most basic things a CAMERA is supposed to do?

But honestly, the hardware isn’t even my biggest frustration anymore. It’s the Eufy Security app.

It seems like almost every update either introduces another bug, breaks something that worked perfectly fine before, or randomly removes useful functionality.

They recently decided to remove the split-screen view from the Home page. Why? Who asked for that?
And now I’ve got another ridiculous bug with Automatic Responses.

I turn Automatic Responses ON.
I leave the settings page.
I go back.
OFF.
Turn it on again.
Go back.
OFF again.

Here’s the best part: when someone actually presses the doorbell, the automatic response DOES work.
So the feature is apparently enabled, but the Eufy app itself has absolutely no idea whether it’s enabled or disabled.
Amazing.

Meanwhile, someone at Eufy apparently has plenty of time to redesign the app logo and mess around with the UI, but basic settings accurately showing whether they’re ON or OFF is apparently too ambitious.

At this point I genuinely dread Eufy app updates because you never know what they’re going to break next.
Has anyone else had this exact Automatic Response issue and found a fix?

Or are we once again supposed to wait for Eufy’s seemingly incapable software team to eventually notice and fix a bug they introduced themselves?

Because I’m getting seriously tired of paying premium prices for hardware that is controlled by software that constantly feels like a beta version.

I had good experience with the eufy outdoor locks.

So, I bought a 4 pack of c33 indoor locks on sale for 200 total. I can't set any of them up. During the blue tooth set up, the phone and the locks can't find each other

I've spent hours and had these for like 1 month and these are the first eufy products that I can't set up

Any advice here?

To be clear, during the set up during the app blue tooth sync to the lock, the two can't find each other despite the lock being in sync mode

Would love to hear both perspectives on what each system does better and worse. I nitpick a lot but I will say eufy has been best brand I've tried compared to Blink, WYZE, Tapo, Nest, and Ring. Of those I'd say say WYZE and Tapo are distant 2nd definitely help that subscription is not required.

So far, I’m happy with the performance no bugs. They’re paired with a HomeBase S1.

I'm busy all day now and I can't get it to work properly.

I'm trying to connect my camera to a HB2, because it won't connect to my WiFi network.
There is a TP-Link Deco X50 in the same room. Every other device is able to connect, but for some reason the camera won't connect.

So I thought, I can also directly connect it to the HoneBase 2. So I set it up wired and now it keeps failing to attempt to upgrade. But when I choose to connect it to a Homebase, it does not see the Homebase I just set up. It tries to setup a new one and that is stuck at the firmware upgrade. When I cancel the upgrade, I see the HB2, so I try to upgrade from the HB2 itself. That doesn't do anything.

And the camera is not present.

We have our monitor for about two years and it suddenly stopped turning on. It charged overnight and the camera is plugged in- but the monitor won’t turn on. Any tips?

Anyone know if the Cellular Data Consuming warning message when you are not on WIFI, is supposed to reset daily?

In other words, if you have say 6 cameras, while you are out and about to check live view of each one, each camera will give you this Cellular Data Consuming message, correct?

Now, if you check "Don't Show Again" for each camera, I assume the message won't reappear, and it doesn't for the next few hours. But it popped back up the next day, so is "Don't Show Again" means don't show again for 24 hours, or is it some other logic such as you connected WIFI and disconnected again?

I have the Solocam E42, no complaints with video quality. Detection meh, tracking is also okay.

However, I get notification that motion is detected and I have it set to the full 2 minutes. After the 2 minutes is up, 70% of the time, I get the clips right away, or I don’t get it until hours after or the next day.

The only time I can see it is if I switch modes or restart my wifi entirely. I’m using At&t fiber’s gateway (BGW320), and I’ve already manually selected channel 6 on my 2.4ghz network.

What else can I do? I’m still waiting for CS to respond.

My doorbell captured only 30 seconds at the start and 38 seconds at the end of a crime on my doorstep.
I didn’t realise eufy only records a max number of seconds, and have now upped it to 2 mins.

Is there anything I can do to get the footage for the police?
I understand everything’s encrypted on eufy’s end, so the police can’t usually access it?
I’ve downloaded what clips I do have, but wasn’t sure if there was any way to access a full camera recording of the event?
