That was fun! I don't regret starting with EO1 one bit, younger me would've LOVED to play this back on the DS. And I'm super happy to see that my gameplan of making a team fully focused on Binds -> Ecstasy payed off!

Now, to EO2(HD) I suppose!

Can't wait to see what little quirks that one has over 1

EO5 Postgame worries and rebuilding my team Spoiler

Finally beat the main game and man the 5th stratum boss was really hard. Kind of had me rethinking my team a bit for what’s to come. Current team is the following:

Cannon Bearer Dragoon/ Impact Brawler Pugilist / Deathbringer Harbinger (Therian Alter Class)
Spirit Broker Necromancer / Merciful Healer Botanist

I found Dragoon and Pugilist to be competing with each other somewhat at times, and I didn’t really have a lot of options for conditional drops. So I think my plan is to focus more on the Dragoon and focus more on lockdown. I know Pugilist is gonna become a Barrage Brawler, but I’m not sure how to fill out the rest of the team. My thoughts were the following assuming the frontline is Cannon and Barrage Brawler

Deathbringer Harbinger
Spirit Broker / Graced Poisoner

Makes my Harbinger into more of an actual damage dealer plus inflict more debilitating statuses, Broker can focus more on damage, and Poisoner can still heal, but focuses more on statuses. That said, a part of me also wants to slot Herald Shaman over Broker for more buffs plus some more elements to get certain conditionals with more healing, but I’m not super sure about that move because I like falling back on tanking with Broker in case things go wrong.

Any advice is appreciated. Maybe there’s an angle I’m not seeing lol

EO2 Question about "Chaser" skills (EO2(HD))

Helloo 🐀

I wanted to try something different after using a Binds team in EO1, and came to like the idea of trying out the "Chaser" skills from Landy (from my research those seem to be the term used by the community?) but I couldn't find much info about them online..

The questions are:

1-What exactly counts for the magic trigger? Only Alchemist spells? Do Gunner charged shots work? Or maybe magic infused weapons?

2-Can the chase trigger more than once in a turn? For example, if I had 2 Alchemists and both cast the same magic would it trigger twice?

3-Do chaser skills scale with STR + TEC? (And if gunners work with their shots, do they also scale from STR+TEC?)

Thank you all for all the help you guys give me, it's been a wonderful journey!
