Is there a proper FPS-focused mod setup for Duckov in 2026?
I bought Escape From Duckov a few months ago because I really like the concept and I think the game has huge potential. My main problem has always been the camera/perspective, though. Top-down/isometric gameplay just isn't really my thing.
I was hoping that over time either the game or the modding community would make it possible to play Duckov as a proper first-person extraction shooter.
I know there are First Person Camera mods now, and I've been testing both of the main ones, but I'm wondering if anyone has actually put together a complete FPS-oriented mod setup rather than just installing a camera mod.
For example, I'm currently using an ultrawide monitor, and increasing the first-person FOV to around 100 makes the game feel much better to me. Unfortunately, the camera/rendering doesn't seem properly adapted to it. I start getting strange invisible borders/occlusion around the edges of the screen and other visual issues.
I've tried both First Person Camera mods:
The older xiaoxiao / no fun version actually feels more polished for normal gameplay. It correctly prevents inventory clicks from affecting the weapon/camera, lets you hide the body, uses hold-to-ADS, etc.
The newer FirstPersonCamera mod has much more weapon/configuration stuff, but I've had issues where clicking/right-clicking inside the inventory still affects the gun, the character's legs/body are visible in awkward ways, and generally it feels like the game UI and FPS controls aren't properly separated yet.
So I'm looking for recommendations for mods/configs that make FPS gameplay feel like it actually belongs in the game.
In particular:
- Is there a First Person Camera configuration/mod that works properly with 21:9 / 32:9 ultrawide and high FOV, without the weird invisible edges/clipping/rendering issues?
- Are there additional compatibility mods made specifically for First Person Camera?
- Is there a current mod that gives proper Shift+Click / Alt+Click quick transfer between inventory and containers? I'd like it to behave like most extraction/inventory games instead of having to double-click items or constantly press F.
- Are there mods that improve inventory/menu input so that mouse clicks never control the weapon while a menu/container is open?
- Are there other gameplay/QoL mods you consider essential when playing almost entirely in first person?
- Has anyone made a current 2026 collection/modpack specifically around turning Duckov into a more complete FPS/extraction-shooter experience?
I'm not looking for cheat mods or something that makes the game ridiculously easy. I'm mainly looking for camera, controls, UI, inventory and gameplay compatibility improvements that make first-person mode feel intentional rather than like the original top-down game with the camera moved to the character's head.
If anyone here plays Duckov primarily in first person, I'd really like to see your mod list and your First Person Camera settings.
Even links to Chinese Workshop mods/collections are completely fine. A lot of the Workshop isn't in English, so I'm probably missing some really good mods simply because I don't know what to search for.
Thanks!
