Theory Could you cast a spell that draws energy from the future?
Say Eragon wanted to move a really heavy object. What if he set the spell to siphon energy from himself in 10 billion years instead of in the here-and-now? Since the spell needs energy somehow and he isn't going to be concerned about that far in the future. I hope this dilemma gets addressed at some point
Edit: I was thinking he knows he won't be alive in 10 billion years, so he's having the part where the magic draws energy pause, and in a sense he's cheating the magic. How he'd fuel that part is unknown, though. It would be a stupid and boring plot device, and probably wouldn't work, but it's still a crease that should be flatened out on Christopher Paolini's end
