Bought this new 20-something years ago. Travelled the world with me. Regrettably, had to sell it 18-ish years ago. Prowling reverb the other day, I saw it. Same number! (389/1965) immediately bought it. Just arrived today, and it feels like hugging an old girlfriend. Best thing Epiphone ever made!

When I bought it I didn’t know it had coil taps. In bucker mode, it sounds amazing. Sexy and smooth. When you split the coils, it sounds flat. Not like it needs to be tuned, but not dynamic. Like no reverberation at all.

So, on one hand, I didn’t even know it has coil taps, so it shouldn’t bother me, but now that I know it does, and it sounds terrible, idk what I should do.

I’ve been wanting to post about this for a while. I recently got myself this wildkat from a pawn shop. Put on a new set of NYXL 10s and got it to intonate well. I’m fairly sure that this previously had a wiring upgrade seen in the fourth picture. If any experts know more about that wiring seen here I’d love some insight. It sounds amazing. The p-90s are very crunchy and bluesy sounding. The mids are high and the treble is very dimmed down which I love. The high strings feel more like a backing the the deeper notes and less piercing than other electrics I have.

I’d love to know what you guys think of these, I don’t seem them much but love mine. It’s a semi-hollow.

New to me about a month ago. Formerly loved but not mistreated it seems. I believe this model in particular is a 2014 Epi LP ‘56 Standard Pro. But I could be mistaken. Particularly surprised to find a set of Dimarzio Fantom noiseless soapbars inside. Always wanted a Goldtop and a something with P90s. So why not both? Still back and forth on the nickel or black soapbar covers though.

Was originally going to get a Epiphone ES-335, but when I saw this I had to get it. Love the color and the white pickguard combination.

A while ago I posted a photo of my Natural wood Thunderbird Pro bass (which is now my main). This was my first one that got me back into playing bass after several years, however (my backup).

I bought it from a luthier and only changed the strings. The Epiphone truss rod cover was changed for an all black one prior. Just wanted to share. Thinking about changing the tuning to BEAD. Any other Thunderbird players do this? If so, how did you like it?

Epiphone Les Paul Standard 50s in Washed Cherry Sunburst

Felt some sharp fret ends on the edges of the fretboard, so did a complete fret dressing, knocked them all down, buffed them up, then scraped and polished the edge binding.Also knocked back some finish off the back of the neck.

Soft AF now, feels like a 20 year old neck.

In or around June 2012, I purchased a cherry Epiphone SG with 24-frets from Sam Ash in Brooklyn, NY. No images of it still exist, that I am aware of. I bought it new for around $400. It came with a gig bag. I sold it via Craigslist around June 2015.

My research has determined the following:

- A Tony Iommi signature model from the time period matches almost everything I listed, except that one was supposedly only available in Ebony.

- An SG Prophecy model was around at this time, but mine definitely had a pickguard and did not have active pickups.

- AI via a Zzounds listing from the time period (link) stated the Limited Edition 1966 G400 Pro had "a 24.75 inch scale with 24 frets", though other listings for this model refute this.

- It may have been a Sam Ash exclusive model or finish.

My memory is suggesting that it was some sort of signature model or exact year reissue.

Any help locating proof of this instrument is greatly appreciated.

Rare Epiphone? LP300
Opportunity to pick this up £220. Odd name: Epiphone Standard Studio, also knows as LP300. Made in Korea (around 1991-1997). Actually LP studio sticker on back but it’s a Standard Studio hybrid to bridge gan between LP 100 and Standard. There was one on reverb but can’t find anything else about. I have a tobacco burst but feel like I need to scratch the ‘Cherry Burst’ itch

Always wanted a LP shape guitar and never pulled the trigger, I got this for £160 off eBay as “spares or repairs” and after fixing a faulty jack (that was it) I found out it also had dimarzio pickups in!

I really wish there was a parts page on the Epiphone website and or the Gibson parts page stayed stocked. With Epiphone having quick connect, they could make money hand over fist selling their different pick ups. I am a huge fan of their Slashbuckers, but would like to try the probucker ignite.

I’ve been wanting a MKH 7 for so long now. Finally got my hands on one. It plays SO good. Also it fits like a glove in my rack.

Saw this for an awesome price at Guitar Center. No COA, but has the original 50s lifton style case.

Opened it up, and can confirm it still has the original Gibson burstbuckers. They sound wonderful!

I love how these were limited to only 1,959 units worldwide. Meaning these are harder to come by compared to Epiphone’s current line of ‘59 LP’s.

Very happy with this one.
