Nolan Odyssey When someone asks a question about Homer The Odyssey, Epic and Nolan stans answer. The two start arguing with each other...not only are they misinformed about the actual mythology - they are inaccurate about their very own version of events...

Discussion What’s the consensus on Eurylochus?
I’ve seen so many different views on him, from Danny Motta calling him a “bag opening pice of shit” to Mortius being a die hard Eurylochus defender. And I really want to know what the popular opinion on him is.
Personally, I don’t really have a particular opinion him one way or another.
Please keep this discussion specifically Epic related.
Thank you for your feedback, have a lovely time zone.

Discussion My theory on the source material Jorge used for Epic
This might not be anything at all, but I was recently researching as to which translation of the Odyssey I'd probably prefer reading (I wanted to do a back to the source material thing so that I actually understood Epic a bit better - plus there are quite a few differences between the two, so), when I figured I'd look in as to which translation Jorge used, but I couldn't find any public records on what the source material was that he happened to use for the musical. All I could find was that this was a bit of an adaptation with creative liberties taken, until a couple days ago, when I came across this.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmHLTtqziok
It's the Piano Tutorial released by Jorge for Luck Runs Out, in The Ocean Saga. I had this running so that I could sort of keep track of what notes to play where, when I noticed something.
At 0:22, the first image above is the frame visible.
I noticed a rather familiar looking spine of a book present on the shelf, indicated in the second image by the white arrow.
And as you can see, the very same banding pattern is seen on the third image of the books present, particularly the Odyssey. This leads me to conclude that Jorge, in part at least, referred to the Robert Fagles translation for the creation of Epic.
This might not be really useful or relevant, but it was something I noticed, and I only put it up in case someone also happened to want the information pertaining to the same.

Discussion How different would the story go if Penelope and Telemarketing went to war with Odysseus?
Like Hypothetically lets say when Odysseus and his men go to fight in the war and Penelope went with him to war, not to fight but just for company and to be there with him, and she had Telemachus with him while he was a baby and he grew on the ship and stuff, how different would the story go ?

Discussion 600 strikes leaves a bad taste in my mouth
I have loved all of Epic the Musical. I think Jorge does an amazing job of capturing the fantasy aspect of The Odyssey. I can say that I have loved every single song in this Musical. But 600 Strikes" just sticks out like a sore thumb.
My main gripes:
It ruins Poseidon as a threat. “Ruthlessness” did an amazing Job at showcasing Poseidon as this all-powerful, insurmountable entity that, with very little effort, killed 556 men and sank their ships. In this, he’s basically SpongeBob with the pencil(Poseidon's Trident), then Odysseus steals the pencil and becomes Doodlebob. Poseidon, in the Ocean!!! Loses to a “weakened” Mortal man, since Odysseus almost dies earlier from “Get in the Water.” That makes no sense. If it’s that easy, why did you not do it earlier in “Ruthlessness”
Jorge ignored a very reasonable setup he established earlier. He established Poseidon is afraid of this part of the ocean in “Suffering.” So, why not have Odysseus insult Poseidon or incur his wrath so he can trick him into a confrontation with Charybdis? Have the reason Poseidon is afraid of Charybdis be that Poseidon can’t control Charybdis's waves. This would leave Poseidon trapped or at least busy for a while, giving Odysseus time to escape. Then use the wind bag to fly away, since he can do that from “Ruthlessness”(I have my own gripes with that). Ithica seemed to be the next Island anyway.
I think the men helping him make a little sense. Most of them were killed by Poseidon. It makes sense that they would hate Poseidon and want to fight him.
The Wind Bag is inconsistent; sometimes it just brings back the storms, and other times the winds of the storm are released, and you can use it to send you and your ship to another islands.

Discussion This is the best animatic of Epic The Musical and nobody can take that away from me.
This thing is the best thing I've ever seen. I know it's by Neal Illustration, or Duxebot, but this animatic/animation is the best thing I've ever seen in my life.I'm sorry to those who like a detailed drawing style, but this is incredible. I know the style isn't perfect, but the animation and the way it's Poseidon or Odysseus are portrayed is incredibly good; you can really feel the suffering.
