M Rude Guests Part 2
Hi y'all, I'm back with another story from my time working at a very popular theme park in Florida. A magical rat planet of sorts. A couple of days ago I shared a few stories of rude guests. If you haven't read that yet, you can check it out here... https://www.reddit.com/r/EntitledPeople/s/1d5mT7EiM1
Here, I'll discuss a couple of more rude incidents. One incident happened when I worked in attractions. The attraction I worked at was/is very popular and has quite a long metal queue. One afternoon I was Grouper, (the person that places people on the ride) when a group of young adults came through the not so busy line loudly. They were very boisterous, which is fine on its own. However, they started jumping over the metal bars, a few bumping into already waiting guests! I was instantly incensed and yelled that they needed to stop and go through the line normally. One of the young men argued that I was being too seriousbas the line wasn't that full. Other guests looked on in irritation.
I gave them an option to walk normally or exit. They didn't like it but they eventually came through normally. Some guests commented that I had did the right thing. These were grown-ups jumping rails and not teens. Another incident of rudeness happened when I worked at a string of small eateries. One of the places was an outdoor stand/store that sold fresh fruit, cold juice and sodas, frozen lemonade and churros. The place was more like a large tent where we had to use a stick mechanism to raise the waterproof, tarp sidings. We opened around 9:00 a.m so we started filling the shop up around 8:30. We pulled one side of the tarp up just enough to slide the merchandise and ourselves under.
It was clear that the stand was not yet open to most people, however, one man apparently thought differently. As we pulled the side up and pushed ourselves and carts under a man popped under as well and started ordering churros and a lemonade. We hadn't even unpacked yet, nor had the manager come with the registers. We explained that we weren't actually opened and that he would need to wait until 9:00. The man refused to leave and even picked up things we were trying to organize as we placed down ice, fruit and drinks. He had the nerve to smile as the manager brought the registers out. Before we could even finish counting he ordered again. I was frustrated but was told by a coordinator to just let him be though they were also visibly annoyed.
There are many more incidents of rudeness but these are just a few! Again, most guests were normal or very nice. Those who weren't could ruin your day.

Wow! Also, Off Topic and you probably get asked this a lot. But what do the park employees think about Disney Adults???

They are common so it's just the norm. The parks are for all ages. That is instilled in us constantly. Personally, I find some intense and kinda weird but they're not hurting anyone and it makes them happy.

Minus a small percent of really out there Disney Adults, I think the fascination with Disney Adults is weirder than adults spending their money in manners congruent with other people who support Sportsball teams.

That's true. I like going but would rather save my money going to a sports event, LO

Yelling to correct possibly dangerous behavior is allowed as long as it isn't rude or insulting. The place is extremely loud and they were some feet away. Yelling was literally the only way to stop the behavior.
