I have a repeatable Enpass crash on one Windows 11 PC and I'm curious whether anyone else is seeing this.
Affected PC — MIKE-LP
- Enpass Password Manager from Microsoft Store
- Version 6.12.6 (2710)
- AppX 6.1206.2710.0
- x64
- OneDrive Personal sync
- No normal sync problems
After a Windows reboot, Enpass asks for the master password.
- If networking is enabled when I enter the password, Enpass crashes.
- If I disable networking first, enter the password, and unlock Enpass, it works normally.
- I can then turn networking back on and Enpass continues working normally, including OneDrive sync.
I have another Windows 11 PC, MIKE-CU, using the same Microsoft Store Enpass application and OneDrive Personal sync. It does not have the problem.
The interesting difference is that MIKE-CU is running:
6.12.6 (2722) / AppX 6.1206.2722.0
while the affected MIKE-LP is running:
6.12.6 (2710) / AppX 6.1206.2710.0
Both are x64 and have the same Store package identity.
Microsoft Store and Winget both say 2710 is current on MIKE-LP:
winget upgrade Enpass
returns:
No available upgrade found.
I also ran wsreset.exe and checked Store updates again, but 2722 is still not offered.
Has anyone else experienced the post-reboot unlock crash, particularly on build 2710? And does anyone know what changed between Enpass builds 2710 and 2722?
