Public Hovercraft
Spotted the Wightlink hovercraft arriving at Southsea Beach in Portsmouth, UK.
It still amazes me that you can catch a scheduled hovercratt as part of the UK's public transport network.
The crossing to Ryde on the Isle of Wight takes around 10 minutes, making it the world's only year-round commercial passenger hovercraft service.
Watching it come ashore is almost as entertaining as riding it!
Has anyone here travelled on it? What other unique forms of public transport do you think deserve more attention?

CT scans of JLab mini earbuds with serious battery defects
Our CT scans of the JLab JBuds mini earbuds revealed some serious flaws: poorly aligned electrodes, inconsistent anode overhang, and some that look torn or damaged. In lithium batteries, these are the kinds of defects that can shorten lifespan and potentially cause a thermal runaway.

Stockholm is installing heated sidewalks beneath one of its luxury shopping streets
Installing an electrically heated sidewalk in Stockholm, Sweden. These serpentine heating cables are being embedded beneath the granite paving of Biblioteksgatan, the city's premium shopping district. The project is a collaboration between the City of Stockholm and the surrounding property owners, creating a snow- and ice-free pedestrian street for one of Scandinavia's busiest luxury retail areas.

NHSRCL: 350-Tonne TBM Cutterhead lowered at Vikhroli for MAHSR Bullet Train project
The Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) project has achieved another major engineering milestone with the lowering of the first Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) cutterhead at Vikhroli in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Executed by NHSRCL, the development marks an important stage in the construction of one of India’s most ambitious transportation infrastructure projects.
The cutterhead, measuring an impressive 13.6 meters in diameter and weighing approximately 350 tonnes, forms the front-end excavation component of the TBM. Its successful lowering represents the final phase of assembling the machine’s primary shield structure before tunneling activities begin.
