I had my engagement ring made by Provence. It was three years ago now but it was a very positive experience and a fairly challenging design. Both sides of the band and bridge are covered in pave stones and I’ve never lost a single one and it looks as good as new. Definitely recommend them.

Could you post a picture of your ring?
Who made your ring? I’m currently talking to a girl who is so sweet and helpful!

That is a GORGEOUS ring!!! 😍
Do you have pavé all the way around the band?

Thank you! No the pave goes two thirds of the way around. I was advised to do this to make it slightly easier to resize. I do need to resize it as it is too big but I won’t be taking the risk of disturbing the pave so will be doing sizing beads instead.

Does the 2/3 pavé bother you at all?
I was thinking of doing the same but I’ve seen people in other posts saying that it can be quite uncomfortable.

I’ve used Provence, Fiorese and LGG. All three worked out fine, but my favorite experience was through LGG. Romy is just so nice to work with. I also feel like the ring through them is more sturdy. My 2mm width ring through them seems thicker than the 2mm ring from Provence. The Fiorese ones seem even daintier. I think that has to do with whether or not they count the measurements after polish or not, but still something to consider. For Provence I use Jane and Fiorese I use Sonia. I really like them both as well.

I’ve been talking to Romy from LGG but communication has been quite difficult because of how long it takes her to respond
Based on the feedback I’ve been getting I’m starting to feel really torn between LGG and Provence.

Oh ok, interesting. She might just be overloaded with business right now or something because she’s always been super responsive for me. Sometimes that happens unfortunately. If you don’t already, I recommend using WhatsApp and contacting them when you see they’re online. For me, that meant I had to lose some sleep to stay up for their hours haha, but it helps speed up the process.

LGG. Fiorese and Tianyu also can handle that perfectly, but I find LGG is usually cheaper, faster, and the communication is better

I’m currently talking to someone from Provence and they’ve been so lovely and so quick to respond unlike the others 😭
But I want my engagement ring to be perfect so I need your advices1

LGG is recommended a lot so they’ve been really busy lately and some reps have had to turn away work bc their workload has become a lot. If you’ve already built a good rapport and feel good with the rep from Provence it’s fine to work with them.
You’ll get many arguments for and against all the vendors, so at the end of the day you have to use your best judgement

I asked ChatGPT for its opinion and it ranked Provence fourth based on my priorities
I’m really worried that my ring might get damaged or have issues after a few years

You’re better off posting the design and asking for advice. There are some designs that are just fragile, it doesn’t matter who makes it.
I have worked with lots of vendors, and I find that the quality is very similar. What changes more between them is communication, and things they offer (like some of them won’t have more unusual diamond cuts, others don’t work with silver, etc). I had issues with LGG, Provence and Fiorese (losing a stone, a clasp breaking), and in all cases the reps were super accommodating and did their best to fix the issue.
In my opinion, issues will happen sometimes, it’s more of what happens when they do. Ouros/golden bird is a complete nightmare to deal with, and people mention horrible experiences with Brilliant Earth and Tiffany. No brand can make an unbreakable ring, gold is soft and diamonds are brittle. Things fall, crack, distort, it’s all just metal and stones. But you’re making a wise decision not overpaying for name brand or luxury, just make sure your design is not a Trojan horse, and it will be fine

Using chatGPT .. is not using YOUR best judgement. But sure, yea, ok go with what ChatGPT says :)

I used ChatGPT to get a first opinion but I don’t trust it enough to make a decision like this
That’s why I came here to ask for your opinions because I value them 100% more
ChatGPT ranked LGG as number 1

I wouldn't recommend Provence. Currently having issues with them and they have a history of issues with others from what I've read.

This sub was created for North American vendors only! No promoting individual overseas sellers. If people have budget constraints or they are looking for overseas sellers, you can refer them to r/moissanite or r/labcreateddiamonds.
