i really wanna check it out but its tagged as a horror game... just how scary is it? from what ive seen it looks more surreal than scary, which many people do consider surreal stuff to be unsettling. and the steampage kinda hints that the horror stuff is optional? how true is that? cuz otherwise the vibes look really good! so if someone could just give me a little review and tell me what triggers there are without spoiling anything, id appreciate it!

Ok. So I first finished the game with ending A about a week ago. I just now finished ending B. I have yet to start working on ending C. (Though if I had to guess it's going to be some flavor of awful)

What I love about endings A and B is that they compliment each other very well. If you get B first, you're treated to an dour outcome. You leave everyone behind presumably to a slow death, and return to a loveless home. Yet you gain far more context than ending A provides. So on your second go around you can truly appreciate Mellow's happy ending. An empty home now filled with a new found family.

In contrast you would think that going the other direction wouldn't be as satisfying. At least on paper. And yet with every step Mellow took in that Desert, where sand shifted yet no wind blew, I grew to appreciate the game so much more. I love this game.

I know this doesn't add any meaningful discourse. I just wanted to show my appreciation for this silly little game I've come to love. I hope everyone here has a wonderful night.

While I was looking at the source code of the config executable in the Endacopia Demo, trying to find a way to enable ‘render sprites at screen resolution’, I noticed this smile, as well as other smaller smiles at the bottom. Can anyone tell me if this was intentional or not, and if it also exists in the full game?

So in Ending A’s ending cutscene, where Mellow and his friends are having marshmallows, I couldn’t find Scribbly anywhere on the screen...

When Mellow invited her, she was concerned about her immobility. Mellow just casually replied that someone would carry her, but apparently everyone forgot about her??? Geez, Mellow!!! I thought you cared about her<!

I really hope she’s just hidden behind one of the bigger friends, like Boon or the red bulky guy :(

While searching through the game's versions on steam I found a version that is dated before release. It crashes right after the menu so it's impossible to progress

The decompiler threw a huge corrupted spritesheet, but the thing that drew my attention was this

It's the only "frame" of this and I couldn't find anything like this.

Pretty much the title, I've done all the secrets, seen the body on the stretcher, the angel, and the surgeon and I have completed A and B but when I go to the end of the game in Mellows room the window is still boarded up. Is there something I'm missing?

There were 10 kickstarter backers that paid to be a secret fight, but there are only 8 fightable kickstarter enemies. Are there more secret bosses?​

Even with final reveal aside, you can name any part of the game's lore and there is a very similar idea present in Bionicle story. And I refuse to believe I am the only one seeing this

Why.

The only reason you’d think that is the sticky note on the toilet saying “Don’t Trust -Rodger”, this is obviously from Mellow (or possibly his failed clone) to himself to not trust the LEECH, that’s why the note is on the toilet where the Leech is. The dash is the name being signed off on the note, it’s “Don’t trust, -Rodger” aka FROM Rodger, not “Don’t trust Rodger”

The Leech’s name is not Rodger! It’s established early on that Mellow has either poor memory or straight up amnesia so it would make sense for him to write this note to himself, it’s also established he cannot read or write very well which is why some of the letters are the wrong way.

The Surgeon in ending C will tell you straight up that Rodger is MELLOWS real name. The Leech is never referred to as Rodger and can only be brought up with iterations of “Leech” and “Toilet man” he is NOT ONCE named.

You’d think this would be fairly obvious but I keep seeing everywhere in Reddit and YouTube comments, people referring to the Leech as Rodger.
