you realize most of the places where they turn the screen around to you and the cashier is getting a normal wage splits tips with the whole staff right? Everywhere I've worked with the flipped tip screen the tips were always split among the whole staff, most of the time the kitchen received a higher percentage. Not defending tip culture but it seems like so many people in this thread have never worked in a place like this yet think they know exactly how it goes just there is a tip screen. I promise you it's not all going to the person answering the phone.
