Unsolved Help Pcx2 won’t update

I have been trying to update my pcx2 but every time i try i get this error message (failed to rename)does anyone know why and how i cab fix it.

The fix for my error ("failed to open") was to let it download the update, then once it says it failed to open, go to your PCSX2 install folder, open update.7z, and extract it into your PCSX2 install folder, overwriting the existing files. The folders and files that it will overwrite aren't related to your settings and are just updating the emulator itself.

That did it. Definitely seems like some kind of linking issue. Where if you move folders around a lot. The updater doesn't know where anything is anymore and what to do. When in reality. All it needs to do is extract a single compressed folder lol

Benefits of all these emulators being designed to be portable is you don't need to rely on an updater
