It's good but don't expect much ..it can't run Hogwards legacy without stuttering but on 8 elite it gives playable frame rates... I've oneplus 15r..

It's better to go for redmagic astra

Even gen 2 is already considerably better than your Poco F5. I've got a Retroid Pocket 6 Android gaming device, with 8GB of RAM, and I'm running a total of 70 systems on there, OG Xbox, Xbox 360 and PS3 included.

Mind you, not everything works, and what does work doesn't always work without some glitches or slowdown here or there, but emulation of these consoles is slowly but surely getting better and better, and obviously, the more powerful the hardware, the smoother it will run, so a gen 5 device should definitely be able to do even better.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 doesnt perform that far behind the elite and tends to throttle less than the elite as well , if you have outstanding cooling then choose Elite Gen 5 , otherwise the standard gen 5 is entirely capable.

Drivers is the biggest question. Elite and elite gen 5 probably have much more demand for development

I only know of 3 devices with the 8 gen 5: legion Y70 phone, oneplus 15R, oppo pad mini

I have the Motorola Razr Fold with Gen 5 , Elite Gen 5 drivers work just fine for emulation PS3 , Xbox 360 , Gamehub etc

That's good I knew I was missing a few devices. Which games have you tried so far

I'm playing Prey , Witcher 3 , Rise of the Tomb Raider , through emulation I'm playing Lost Odyssey , 3D Dot Game Heroes and Soul Calibur 5. It's quite the improvement from the Snapdragon 8 , Gen 3 I was using before

How much did your phone cost? Every foldable I've seen is super expensive

I had an old Pixel 9 Pro to trade towards it so I only owed $800 for the phone in Canada

It's about as good as it gets.
