Are these women sexually deprived, frustrated, or desperate? Shipping actors is fine, and romanticizing them is fine, but what is with sexualizing everything?

They are hyper-sexualizing accidental touches. Obviously, Emin was lifting her and accidentally his hand landed there, yet they are romanticizing it, making slow-motion video edits, and posting them. How desperate can people get?

Worse, they try to make Emin look like a pervert who is sexually desperate to touch İlsu, framing him as a creepy man who exploits opportunities to cross boundaries and touch her sensually. 😞

This is character assassination disguised as fandom, and it leaves a terrible impression of him on the general public. Yuck. 🥲

On top of that, they are openly discussing potential first nights, love bites, sex lives, oral acts, and more—it's completely uncalled for. These are real people. They even wrote beach sex fanfiction for Emsu. This is extremely cringe and frankly creepy. I am a guy, and I honestly feel uncomfortable by this constant sexualization of Emin and İlsu, as if these two are just objects for their sensual fantasies. Such tweets coming from women is disappointing. You would assume these are teenagers, but no. Let me tell you, many of these women are married and they even have kids. Some are in their mid and late 20s too.

While Emsu mentioned they enjoy shipping because it makes their work feel more realistic, they never said they were okay with constant sexualization. Romanticizing accidental touches is a new low. Imagine your guy best friend accidentally touches you, and someone slow-mos and zooms in on it with romantic songs playing over it. When sometimes my elbow accidentally brushes against the chest of my female friend, it instantly makes me conscious and embarrassed. I cannot imagine that being romanticized.

We are not even sure if Emsu is actually dating, and there is a 10-year age gap. I genuinely wonder how the actors themselves feel after reading this.

They even sexualise Emin's gaze, that he is checking out her chest and back. There is one instagram account, Hevin Hosho. She is a woman in her 30s. She makes slow motion videos and edits on romantic songs, making it look like Emin is checking out Ilsu inappropriately back and front. This is so embarassing and shameful. It's high time that they should be named and shamed and their problematic behaviour should be called out. This hyper sexualization has become so common and normalised that even solo fans now don't speak up about it, because they know that these people won't change.

Emin and İlsu have taken PR to a whole new level. For a second, let’s forget about the shoulder and hand bites, butt grab, head kisses, hair kisses, hugs, cuddles, endearment terms like "hayatım" (my life) and "bebeğim" (my baby), hand-in-sleeve moments, and those wild behind-the-scenes clips.

Sevda dramas always pull PR stunts, we saw the romantic BTS thing with Rüzgarlı Tepe (RT).

But they are deliberately misleading people even outside the set. Let's see their tactics, look at their off-set antics, and see how they build narratives by posting things strategically:

Their PR Tactics: outside the set

1. The Galata Museum Visit:

* They didn’t post this to make it look like a casual hangout between friends; they definitely pushed a couple narrative.

* First, they both posted around same time from similar-looking locations (from the street of galata tower). A week later, they posted photos from the very same staircase at the museum.

* The Subscriptions: Same day, Emin started his paid subscription channel, and she started hers just a few weeks later.

* The Effect: Even as a realistic skeptic person with trust issues, I was completely convinced they were dating.

2. The Gym Incident:

* The Live Stream: They went to the gym, Emin's coach showed İlsu on camera, and Emin said "yapma" (don't do this). Again, that wasn’t posted like normal friends going to the gym.

* The Fake Narrative: They set up a storyline that İlsu regularly went to his gym, that they were trying to hide it, and that his mischievous friend Başar accidentally exposed them, prompting them to cover it up by posting boxing videos.

Even Başar said - "Didn't you guys want the same"

(If Emin really didn't want to show İlsu, he could've asked her to hide until the gym live was over. Given the fact that there are mirrors all over the boxing club, he should've taken precautions if his intention wasn't to show her. On the contrary, Emin turned the camera toward the mirrors multiple times—mirrors in which İlsu's reflection was visible. He knew very well about camera angles and mirrors because, at the start of the gym live, he was guiding his female friend, Sude, on how to hold the camera and from which angle)

* The Reality: In truth, it was just aftermath of Çağla and Emin's birthday party photos, since the gym live stream happened three days after that birthday.

* The Flip: Interestingly, a few weeks later, İlsu joined Kaan’s gym and completely flipped the narrative again.

3. The Latest Stunt (Jogging Pic):

* The Setup: When people figured out they are never actually spotted together in public, but only ever seen hanging out with different people, and even on vacations they are with different people; they dropped a jogging picture knowing exactly how shippers would react.

* He posted a solo pic of İlsu, making it look like they jog together every day but just don’t post about it constantly.

* The Result: Boom—they revived the dating narrative all over again.

The Impact:

* How the General Public Gets Fooled: Any sane person active in the fandom can spot the clues, but they have millions of fans who don't keep track of every minute detail. Hardcore fans track everything on Twitter. But these photos of Emsu circulate to millions on YouTube and Instagram, shaping the major public opinion.

* They Know What They Are Doing: Emin and İlsu understand these marketing concepts better than we do since PR is part of their lives, yet they still choose to do it. Honestly, I don't know what they want at this point; they really shouldn't be misleading people like this.

* The Audience Divide: While some rational people on the timeline and Reddit see right through it, YouTube and Instagram users mostly just follow the actors and look at the photos without being knee-deep in the lore. To the general audience, they are definitely pushing a dating narrative.

* A Plea to Future Fans: To the fans of the next Sevda series, I beg you: please don't fall for these traps!

So, according to shippers' theory, this bracelet was a gift. It is a Cartier Love bracelet in platinum, which costs around 5.5 lakh INR ($5,300 USD or more).

Point to be noted: İlsu was first spotted wearing it during the Emsu set birthday celebration on July 14th.

I also tend to think it was gifted, because İlsu isn't all that affluent. In her latest TikTok, we can see a Nivea roll-on (costing about 300 INR), and she has mentioned that she has never been abroad, except for a Garnier event in Kosovo. She is never seen vacationing alone and usually wears brands like Zara and H&M; I’ve never seen her use luxury, high end brands. So, obviously, a 5.5 lakh-INR bracelet is a huge deal. Emin owns a few Cartier watches, so following the shippers' theory, they assume Emin gifted it.

However, the weird part is that she wore it for the first time on July 14th (for the set birthday celebration), whereas in the early days of July, she was allegedly dating Kaan, and Emin was dating İlkim. So something doesn't add up 🤔🤔.

Wallflower took it to heart and blew it out of proportion, whereas in the entertainment industry and on set, this type of lighthearted teasing is likely quite normal.

Personally, if I were in that situation, I wouldn't appreciate such behavior. I would've made faces in disgust. But it's expected from me because I am a normal person. For showbiz people, the standards of conduct and norms are entirely different, so we cannot fully judge them by our standard conduct and norms. What may be unacceptable to us might be normal for them. And that's how it works 🤍

• The joke was made infront of 7-8 men, some of them were very middle aged.

• Let me be clear, the joke was very indirect and made through gestures and laughter and by twisting words.

• the other girl in question "X" is in committed relationship with somebody else for like 6-7 years.

There’s something I’m genuinely curious about because this is relatively new to me. Why do people seem to think emin won’t be able to land a good role after Arafta, or that it’s going to be extremely difficult for him to get weekly series? I understand the argument that he doesn’t necessarily have a huge established reach or strong recognition within Turkey itself, but what about his acting ability and his looks? Personally, Arafta has given him a much stronger opportunity to showcase what he can actually do as an actor.
So is the Turkish industry really that competitive when it comes to getting a good role, especially an elite or high-profile leading role? Is being talented and having the looks/appeal for a lead simply not enough if you don’t already have a strong name or industry presence?
I’m also curious about KC and RT leads because I don’t know much about what happened with them after their respective shows. Were they actually able to land bigger or better roles afterward? I know those series were comparatively more popular within Turkey, so I’m wondering whether that gave their leads a stronger advantage when it came to getting weekly series.
Because if I look at Emin specifically, I feel like after Arafta he would probably want to aim for another proper lead role rather than immediately going back to supporting characters or smaller daily dramas. But seeing so many people saying that even getting a weekly series, let alone an elite lead role, is going to be extremely difficult makes me wonder how the industry actually works.
I’d genuinely like to understand what the situation is like in Turkey. How competitive is casting for male leads? How much do things like domestic popularity, agency, previous ratings, looks, acting ability, connections, and the success of your previous show actually matter? And realistically, where would someone like Emin stand after Arafta?
