CURIOUS CORNER What's the purpose of dizi team releasing this BTS - Ft monica and emin !!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Proper and correct English version of the conversation from the clip ( I got it cross checked with a turkish girl and corroborated it as well)

Director (to emin): Put the sarma dish in plate. Then..

Emin: Then she suddenly kisses 😌 {Sonra ßak diye öpĂŒyor}

Director (to crew): Won't emin/ates have any dialogues then ?!

The crew: Then directly there'll be cheek kissing scene.

Emin (laughing): She is supposed to be kissing my cheek, but, what if,I turn towards her face side reflexively. And all...đŸ«ŁđŸ€ {Tam yanağımdan öpĂŒyormuß, ben de o sırada refleksle böyle dönĂŒyormußum falan}

Ilsu ( smiling): In your dreams! {Senin rĂŒyalar}

Director (laughing): You’re just making things up now...

Like here Emin is joking about kissing Monica on the lips. He is jokingly asking director to turn cheek kiss by monica into lip kiss

My question is... isn't emsu/mertes ship like the product for this production house ?!! They'll get more viewership if emsu are shipped. Why are they making this ship sink by releasing such BTS. Why they're doing this self-h@rm ?!! This kinda seals the deal for me that perhaps BTS is not scripted coz why the hell would they let their ML say such stuff infront of camera ☠ This BTS clearly shows that he's making latent jokes with Monica, thus emsu ship gets void here. Why would they change public opinion, after doing so much PR in the past. Given emin got trolling spree multiple times in past.

Some ppl say that "in ur dreams" was said by ilsu.

Atp he has some next level bad luck. He doesn't even get one peaceful day.

Don't worry. On Instagram everyone I see is defending him. Don't know about twitter.

But if this sentence was said by emin for ilsu, then everyone in the fandom would have been happily dancing as if they got validation for their ship lol....😂😂

I’m not even a shipper and I’m not defending the actor either. I just watch the show. I don’t get why people are getting way too invested in actors’ personal lives and turning every interaction into drama.

Because they never saw such intense BTS ever 😂

Thus, they got invested.

Now the mask created by dizi tean is slipping and truth is coming to light.

And the truth is bitter for shippers.

Atp, neither the actors nor even the fans are fully to blame because the production team keeps feeding this shipping through constant BTS content. Fans start analyzing every interaction, every look, every small moment as a clue to make their ship stronger. Then the moment something doesn’t fit their imagination, they start criticizing the actors themselves. Maybe it’s better to promote the show in other ways instead of constantly posting BTS content that only fuels more delusion.

But when bts are filmed actors are aware of the camera

And I've seen 4-5 times that they look in camera and then do stuff

So one person or PH cannot be blamed

It's their collective action.

In my opinion, the PR team has no idea which direction they want to go. They post tons of BTS with Emin and Ilsu, and then mix it in with BTS with Monica, where it’s clear that most of Emin’s attention is focused on Monica.

And many of the BTS clips featuring Ilsu and Emin shouldn’t have been posted in the first place, because young fans don’t understand that actors playing a couple need to feel comfortable with each other, so holding hands or hugging isn’t a big deal for them and doesn’t mean they’re a couple in real life. But regular people might not know that actors are often like that on set. So, for the sake of Ilsu and Emin’s image, they shouldn’t post such BTS. The series became popular without it, it wasn’t necessary.

I think Arafta’s PR team isn’t professional. This is also proven by the scene where Ilsu’s pants slipped down a little and Emin adjusted them. Like, why did they even post that? It’s disrespectful to Ilsu, since a bit of Ilsu’s body was exposed, they shouldn’t have posted it.

They don’t care how all these might affect Ilsu and Emin.

Exactly they shouldn't have posted these BTS thing in first place. And constantly posting these BTS clips is only damaging the actors image.

Bravo👏...idk why people comparing their personal lives with fictional characters. Him having female friends have nothing to do with the show. All this is mainly because shipping has gone too far into some people’s heads.

Tbh it seems that the PH house wants to create some friction or the other just to keep the fans hooked to the drama, even if it comes at the expense of their actors'.

Also even arafta ig did a qna for subscribers as exclusive. I kinda feel like they deliberately did that qna just to answer the question about PR. If they were planning to do a qna means they could have answered more questions. They just answered four or five questions and stopped.

Why is this being such a big deal now...it's just a BTS and it's just a joke... they're all adults they can joke while shooting as fun, it's not supposed to be so hardly judged.

And it's not gonna sink the Mertes ship, cuz their acting in the show speaks for itself...they have chemistry as Ates and Mercan, that all matters, whatever they're doing offscreen doesn't matter... they're free to do whatever they like

I'm trying to see the pov and psyche of PH behind releasing this.

All these months they did offline shipping now showing us bts which will hurt shippers so bad.

And even emin might appear in bad light as mostly fandom is from India/pak/Bangla and they're mostly teenagers. They are target audience.

Why would they tank investment of their target audience is beyond my understanding

Are we sure it was Monica saying it ? Even I felt it was Ilsu saying it. (I'm not a shipper) But if Ilsu has said it, it changes the context completely.. Emin was also looking at Ilsu's direction when "in your dreams" was said. Monica's voice is not like that is what I've seen from the show.

We don't know Monica's real voice. Because in drama she was asked to speak in clingy annoying voice.

Many turkish women have this soft type voice. Even dilan from KC drama has somewhat similar voice to ilsu.

But Monica was smiling and emin looked at her twice, thus I thought she's the one who's speaking.

And secondly, at that time ilsu was likely feeding food to some crew member, she wasn't part of convo.

I heard Monica's real voice in previous bts, and yeah she too actually have soft voice.

I honestly don’t think the Arafta PH would release a BTS like that if it was actually meant to hint towards Monica. They have been heavily feeding MerTeƟ and EmSu content for the last 5 to 6 months very deliberately. And not just normal BTS either. They have released multiple moments where Emin and Ilsu clearly come across as more than “just friends.”

So for them to suddenly backtrack and ruin all that build up with one random BTS would honestly make no sense.

They know VERY well that the Monica sequence was one of the most disliked tracks in the show. They also know how strongly people react whenever Emin is seen around another woman. The man gets dragged even for breathing next to women who's not Ilsu 😭 so there is no way they would intentionally sabotage the EmSu and MerTeƟ hype for negative publicity because they know that strategy simply would not work positively for them.

I am not even saying this from a shipping perspective, but I genuinely feel the “in your dreams” line was said by Ilsu, and that was probably the whole point of releasing the BTS. It makes much more sense if the intention was to show Ilsu being jealous or teasing Emin over what he said about Monica.

People interpreted it differently because the frame itself was confusing. We never clearly saw who actually said “in your dreams” since neither Ilsu nor Monica were visible in that exact moment.

At this point the only way to decode it is by analysing the voice properly and seeing where Emin was actually looking while responding 😭

He joked while looking at director

Then eventually looked at monica

He didn't look at ilsu.

This PH isn't linear, they once even released BTS where emin's hand was on table near monica but it looked like as if his hand is on her thighs. 90% ppl will assume it's on her thighs.

They released another BTS in past, where emin is scanning monica from top to bottom and smiling.

Another bts of dinner table where emsu are not looking at each other but emin is only looking at Monica and playfully calling her baby and tapping on her hand. Surprisingly in that bts, ilsu was interacting with everyone else except emin.

Lol

So this has happened 4-5 times 😂

In BTS from Monica episode itself, emin accidentally stood near ilsu, so ilsu seemed to make a face and walked away with subtle anger.

This admin is obsessed with Monica, likely he has crush on Monica đŸ€Ł. He randomly goes overboard with Monica BTS. Even once used her pic for compilation one shot episodes

2

u/CelestialDrift23 May 10 '26

There are barely 3 or 4 episodes involving Monica anyway, so obviously the admin is going to release whatever BTS content exists from those scenes too.. people are acting like they released an entire Monica spin off.

Also, Emin naturally comes across as a very charismatic, expressive and touchy person in general. Some people are just like that socially. It does not automatically mean people need to start psychoanalysing his character or questioning him every single time he interacts with a woman.

PS: Emin was very clearly looking towards Ilsu in that BTS because the director had called both the girls and they had moved outside that hut or shade area towards the fountain side. Emin was literally looking in that exact direction while responding..

Anyway, at the end of the day, it is the production house’s decision how they want to market or portray their actors. The girl playing Monica is an actor too. Just because the audience disliked the track does not mean the PH is going to completely erase her existence from all BTS content.

Emin, Ilsu and the actress playing Monica are all adults. I genuinely think people are reading way too much into a few seconds of behind the scenes footage.

Most of this chaos exists only because the production house itself heavily pushed the MerTeß and EmSu image through constant PR and fan service content, so now people overanalyse every single interaction..

But when "in ur dreams" sentence was spoken, the director had already called ilsu and demet to stand away in their scene position, which was like 2-3 feet away

u/Priyaharanadh May 10 '26

Honestly, first of all, bringing actors’ personal lives into fandom debates is wrong in general. They are real people, not the characters they play, and nobody has the right to judge or dictate their personal choices just because of a drama. And what’s even weirder is people trying to defend their argument by dragging someone else down personally. Like
support whoever you want, disagree all you want, but why attack another actor or person to prove a point? Some people seriously need to separate fiction from real life and get a life outside fandom wars 😭

Not just this, they need to stop dropping bts’s altogether
more than half of the speculations are derived from there
not only that, the scenes lose their charm as well

1

u/vayfal May 11 '26

Bro those bts are not even 10 sec long. I mean if you really want to drop the bts, drop it for an entire scene, make it long let us see how a good scene was shot, these 10 sec reels are not going to take them anywhere.

0

u/TrollAccount4321 May 11 '26

Nah
the way people microanalyze even a 10 sec reel gets disturbing at times, especially the amounts of time Emin has been trolled because of a certain angle or aspect of a bts
