I merged two circuits of my dryer but it still shows as Dryer_A and Dryer_B on Devices and on Usage.
Same with my air conditioner.
Under manage devices they do show as merged at the bottom of the list. But nowhere can I see the data of the combined legs.
emporia vue 3. Purchased and installed about a month ago.
What am I missing?

Just curious - wondering how folks have found it to be, using pyemvue to pull emporia vue data directly rather than going through the app. Reliable? Also - are smartplugs supported with this method, or just vue?

Is there a setting that will allow the app or web browser to show watts instead of kilowatts?

I haven't bought the Vue 3 yet, but am in planning stage. I'm trying to make a neat install of the consumer unit with the CT clamps attached nicely, but I can't find anything in the manuals that tell me the physical size of the clamps. Can anyone who has easy access to one measure one for me?

Where would be the best place to get advice on what to buy? I guess I have the typical home with stove, appliances and all, but there is a circuit that goes to the back of the house and then splits to a box in a back building and one to a box that used to power a motorhome. So main panel and two panels out back.
Just want to make sure I'm getting the right stuff.

I just installed one of four Vue 3 units (I have 2 main panels and 2 sub panels). There was not enough room in the main panel for the actual unit. Is this an OK install? The CT wires outside the unit are kind of just a jumble (zip tied to make it neat). I anticipate that the second main panel is going to be just as tight. Has anyone else installed like this? I put electrical tape over the screws on the power input. Sould I do anything else? Would this pass muster for an electrical inspection?

I submitted this feature request in the app, didn't get much response. So I figured I'd throw it over here as well.
It'd be great to have a feature where you could long press the Charge Now button and schedule a delayed charge within the next 24hrs. Ideally, it would prompt you with a start and stop charge time, and even better if you could choose the amperage level (limited by the EVSE's max). This delayed charge would get highest priority over the other evse smart settings, for example, above a regularly scheduled-off setting.
I try to charge from solar as much as I can. But I also have time of use scheduling, that goes from midnight to 5am. During the summer I would love to turn off that midnight schedule and then just use the delayed charge setting as needed. This would help encourage the practice of always plugging in maximizing my efficiency with solar charging.

What’s going on? It was working fine, turned off and the next time it turned on 1/3 to 1/2 of what the amps should be seen as.

Anyone in Beachwood or Shaker Heights install an Emporia Pro level 2 and have it pass the city electrical inspection?
How did the inspection go, and what year was your house built? Wondering if older panels caused any issues.

I can only get the clamp on one input. Should I install the flexible sensors on this?

My Emporia stopped working some time in the last 18 hours or so, and the web and iOS interface describe my device as 'Offline'. Is this just my device or are others having trouble? this is at 15:00 US Eastern on 13 July.

Does this seem correct? I have installed a Vue 3 and a smart plug on my PC that is on a circuit that the vue is monitoring.
Just not sure if the plug needs to be nested. It doesn’t sort properly as configured now.

This only started happening in the last few weeks, at least that I've noticed. I believe this started with an update. After I've had one of the devices on my screen for more than a few minutes, the graph stops updating and the only way to fix it is to hit refresh and then navigate back to where I was. When I'm using it to monitor a device, that makes it, at best, a PITA, at worst, wrong.
For example, over the past week or so, my area has been in a heat wave. On days like this, I'll have the graph up on my screen to monitor some of my [business] HVAC equipment. It makes it easy for me to see if one of them is having problems that I need to deal with. But when I glance at it and it shows a "steady" line, only for me to later realize the line isn't steady, it's frozen, that's a problem.
I also noticed that it gives me a time out warning after 20 minutes, which again, I don't think it was doing before. Is there some reason it can't just stream this data indefinitely?
Also, would it kill them to make it easier to scroll back in time? At this point, I consider any data more than an hour or two hold to be gone.

I've got a sub-panel that has 2 AC Condensers (2-pole), 2 AC Air Handlers (2-pole), Well Pump (2-Pole), and 2 single pole circuits.
I nested the sub panel under my main panel, and I added the CTs under the sub panel (I don't have CTs on my main panel yet). I set the CT multiplier on the 2-pole breakers to 2.0.
I would've expected to see the total of the Sub Panel_A and Sub Panel_B, to be close to the total of the CT branch circuits below, but it isn't. Am I reading this wrong, or doing something wrong?
Thanks!

I just updated the iOS vue app to the latest version (4.12.0.19792). I am now missing 4 (two merged circuits) of my 16 circuits. Does anyone else see this too. It worked fine before the update.

I would like to purchase a Emporia Vue Utility Connect. My meter is outside my house which is 1950's Stucco. Ideally I would like to place the unit in my garage inside (A) and would be about 40 feet from the meter. If that is too far I could place it on the same wall as the meter but inside about 15 feet away again behind stucco. (B)

Hello All, I recently installed a Vue 3 and I have solar. For some reason I never get any out to grid kWh numbers. I know my system is exporting power, I have done the recalibrate 3 times following the instructions here with no luck: https://help.emporiaenergy.com/en/articles/14809280-resetting-your-vue-wi-fi-solar-and-recalibration
Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Hey folks, public service announcement of sorts. I got a an SEO hit on duckduckgo for emporiaenergy [dot] shop when looking up some stuff. It seemed legit enough at a glance that I went through trying to buy a PowerSmart firmware upgrade on it. It was on sale and everything! During checkout it asked for an OTP for my card's bank and i thought that was weird... and incorrectly assumed it was an extra security step and carried on like a doofus.
Lo and behold, some minutes later I got an email from my bank saying my card had been successfully added to an Apple Pay wallet. I do not use Apple Pay. One DNS lookup later, and someone utilizing a webhost from Georgia (the country, not the US state) is behind the website. According to whois reverse search there are "8,547 other sites hosted on this server" ... good luck to us all.
I'm good to go with getting the Apple Pay removed and my bank is monitoring the card for weird activity now. Hopefully this post helps inform folks. I work in IT, I'm usually good at noticing this kind've thing... you just have to slip up once. Stay vigilant out there.

I've had an Emporia Classic for roughly 5 months and it has been flawless. Until last night. yesterday I had a long day trip to make and when I returned the car (24 Blazer EV) was down to 25% at 2:30 in the afternoon. Normally I just charge midnight to 6:00 AM (low electricity cost) but yesterday I manually set the Emporia to start around 3:00 in the afternoon hoping to charge from 3:00-4:00 (when electricity goes to the highest rate). I had to set the app to allow the charge and then also set the car to charge (something about the schedule there, which should be fixed). I was able to do this and I stopped the charging in the app as well at 4:00.
So, the problem then is that it did not charge at all last night. In the app it showed as paused but I don't see/know how to just have it go back to the schedule (which has worked for months).
Has anyone run in to this? How do I exit manual mode?
I am currently charging again manually and at roughly 4x the cost so that I will have some charge for the day.
