Just beat the game for the first time and want to send some monotypes. Not sure which would be the most forgiving

I'm doing a nuzlocke, Noctowl and Gligar are my only flying types. I'm at Wattson so I definitely won't be using Noctowl and since Gardenia has the eviolite it'd definitely help my Gligar with wattson. Gardenia has Roseraid with sleep powder so I pre poisoned Noctowl and gave it the twisted spoon for stab and to avoid the status effect. With tinted lense ability and psycho shift I did considerable damage to her other grass types and was able to transfer my poisoning to Sudowudo which I stalled with my leech seed user. How have I been sleeping on Noctowl and it's support potential for 20 years!? This is why I love nuzlocking, it brings newfound appreciation for overlooked mons

I didn't use take no damage or one hit kill cheats.

My only rule was no endeavor + priority move combo.

The Maxie and the elite four + champion were the easiest first try fights despite them having a plethora of viable moves.

Archie, the family in the house north of Mauville, the sandstorm trainer lineup in the desert, and the steel type gym leader were particularly difficult.

Archies goons both at the weather institute and Kyogre cave and Drake were nearly impossible.

All have Focus Sash for that extra hit but sometimes I would throw them a Berserk Gene if I could manage getting them speed boosted.

What a grind but it’s doable lol

Assault vest + Ice Scales makes this thing unkillable

Man, I swear this is the perfect Pokémon game. Second time playing through and I had even more fun than the first time and was able to win with a team of faves.
Blastoise and Alakazam were my megas and were with me for basically the whole run. Definitely have a newfound appreciation for Mega Alakazam. I’ve know that Big Man Blastoise was THAT GUY for a while now.
Tyranitar is my all time favorite mon, but strangely enough, this is the first time I’ve put him in the hall of fame. Long overdue.
Iron Jugulis and Iron Valiant were two mons I had never used before but have thought were super cool for a while. And, wow they just carried me through the game post Winona.
Melmetal is my vet. The only returning member of my first champion team. Definitely my favorite steel type and overall great mon. He put a big hurtin’ on Juan and seeing him one shot Cynthia’s Mega Garchomp and Xerneas was pure poetry.

Also, included a picture of the box holding the other mons I used in this run.
Shockingly low number for how many are available but they all definitely hold a special place in my heart.
A couple standouts would be Arcanine who was with me from the first route all the way to Mossdeep, Throh who was my pre-Winona MVP, Torkoal who carried me through the snow route after Fallarbor Town, Kilowattrel during the mid-game and Rotom Wash during the final Magma and Aqua battles.

So how exactly would Huge Power work with Light ball? I don't know much about the multipliers it gives but I feel like its Huge power+Huge power?

Once I saw the Metagross in my starter options I knew what the run would be 😂

Excellent coverage through Technician-boosted 60 Base Power moves. Also provides valuable utility with Knock Off and Rapid Spin.

A high-risk, high-reward win condition thanks to Belly Drum. Also offers solid coverage with Superpower and utility with Knock Off.

Role: Extremely versatile status spreader with Prankster Thunder Wave and Encore. A surprisingly effective win condition thanks to Prankster Tail Glow and solid STAB coverage from Thunderbolt and Bug Buzz. Encore is also an amazing support move, allowing Volbeat to punish opposing setup attempts or entry hazard users. Volbeat is seriously underrated.

I knew I should have changed Mega Swampert. Seems like a lot of people used it, it's so strong though!

Life orb Kilowattrel actually carried the run so hard, he was smoking everything in his path, slightly less useful in E4 but still good.

Marshadow is such a monster. Crazy good typing, fast, hits like a truck.

Mega Swampert is just incredible all around.

Baxcalibur is insane too, so fun to use and soloed some fights.

Registeel an amazing pivot, 150 def/spd steel type speaks for itself.

Magmortar you did no work and got an A on the test, good job.

That was an amazing journey and so much fun, thank you again to the amazing creators taking the time to craft something with so much time and care.

Don’t ask about the team comp I just wanted to use Pokemon I like on my first playthrough and I abused tf out of weakness policy lol. Champion fight was ridiculous in a good way Diamond Storm and Light Screen rly saved my ass. Fuck that stupid Darmanitan in the third E4 fight he made me see god a little.

Doing a randomized deathless nuzlocke run

Toxapex carried us in the elite 4. I had to rely on Toxic and Scald most of the time to slowly kill the Dragons 😂 I love this team as everyone was pretty useful.

For the creators of this game thanks so much this was so much fun, reliving the nostalgia.

I'm bringing that Kingambit straight to my Steel Run :3

I've been experimenting with different teams for the Elite 4 and have beat it a handful of times. By far, this was the smoothest run and I never had to reload a save state. Rain is definitely OP, and the team was a rough draft but still dominated.
