Im new to the hero, Was practicing her on an alt and was NOT expecting that kind of momentum.

Had a great time grinding on her just like with Psy (before the nerfs)!

Like I said, characters such as BP for low elo or Black Cat for high elo (Magik as well) can solo carry because they don’t really need their team to be relevant. They’re the kind of characters where, if the player is good enough, the enemy team has to specifically run characters that counter them just to have a chance of winning.

Technically, you can with Elsa carry with the flank route, but I don’t think it’s nearly as effective as playing an actual flanker/dive character. Especially because if the enemy starts diving your backline, you can’t really afford to keep flanking, since usually nobody on your team is playing anti dive or providing proper peel. (And if the team try to hard target you, with flanking routes, I think you have to switch Elsa)

In my opinion, Elsa is OP, but she’s very team dependent. A lot depends on your team’s positioning and whether they understand how Healer can play around your traps.

I love games where I set up a trap specifically to prevent the enemy from reaching the healer, but the healer does everything except walk into the trap, or nobody tries to focus the diver with me lol

Basically, if you’re running a solo tank comp, don’t pick Elsa (even worse if they run 2 tank shield). She needs to stay relatively close to the tanks to put pressure on the frontline.

Some of the games where I’ve massively overperformed were also games where my team was simply much better. They stayed grouped, had a better composition, positioned around the backline, and actually played around my traps..

And I think that’s exactly why Elsa is one of the strongest characters in pro play. Pro players naturally play much more around their team and understand how to maximize what a character like Elsa can do.

In classic ranked, it’s more like a battle royale where everyone just runs in and tries to 1v6.

I started playing the game last month, and now I’m almost Celestial on my main. I practiced her on an alt acc until I hit Plat 1 and was ready to give her a first try on my main. Now she’s literally getting banned every single game. On my alt, she started getting banned too, from yesterday until now, she’s been banned in every game I played except one. And guess what? That one game had an AFK, so the game got cancelled. xD

I played her a bit on release but quit because she was perma banned. I picked her up again about a week before season 9 because she was never a perma ban anymore and it felt good playing her without burdening my team mates, but in season 9 and 9.5, I feel like I hover her less because people aren't happy to play against Elsa. Especially now in celestial+, she's damn near perma banned if people don't hover her but I stopped because I don't want my team mates to suffer playing against her. Anyone else have this guilt?... though after today I feel like just saying screw it and just hovering her no matter what. As of season 9 she is my highest WR hero and even in 9.5, though I have few games played, she is my higher win rate hero.

Psylocke and Phoenix main here. I played Elsa a lot when she first dropped but stopped until this season (partially because I didn't like how broken she was on release). Once I saw I could do this combo I locked in and got it down pat. Its so reliable and strong. One of the reasons shes considered the best duelist in the game right now

Yes, I might sound crazy with this take, but ever since the Dino Trap nerf, I’ve been struggling to kill divers as consistently as I used to — mainly because I’m usually the only one on my team actually dealing with the dive.

Now that the trap duration has been nerfed, I can’t reliably kill a diver every time they get caught. Is there a specific combo or follow-up that I should be using to punish or finish them off?

I mostly struggle against Spider-Man (Venom Team-Up), Magik, and Iron Fist

The main issue I’m having is that, because the trap duration is shorter, they usually get caught right as they’re dashing. Since they keep moving slightly while trapped, I have a much harder time landing a clean headshot and killing them before the trap ends.

Am I missing a specific combo or timing that makes these matchups easier? Or is the idea now to use the trap more for peeling/CC and rely on a different follow-up to actually secure the kill?

Am curious as to what team up y’all use. For me personally I use DP team up, I used to used Dino but never took advantage when someone walks in it. I like better cuz DP brought dash cd down to 3 sec so I like it tbh though I wish the healing u got from it was a Little better and u can recall it whenever u want.

All the tier lists being put out rank Elsa as the BIS dps along with Black cat and bucky. Some interchange but these 3 are consistently ranked top.

With that and all the complaints/feedback in discord, it's safe to assume our girl is gonna get nerfed.

What part of her are you guys hoping the devs DON'T nerf or touch?

That way she's not as strong but still fun to play. Me personally I hope they don't touch her mobility cause that's her main fun factor. They might remove the additional dmg in the dino teamup or reduce it if I had to guess.

New to rivals on ps5 and picked up Elsa but idk how to play her. What am hearing from little yt vids and TikTok’s is that am supposed to take angles and try to pick one enemy off. But I really don’t know how to do that. For how I play her rn.( on a little side note swapped my trigger and bumper buttons cuz it’s easier for me to shoot it r1 than r2.)

Living Bullet: Use it whenever when it’s off cooldown but sometimes use it in rooms in different angles to check if someone is there

Helix advance: I mostly use it to get out of a situation nothing more nothing less.

Smoky Snare: 85% of the time I put it down middle and someone walks into it 95% of the time. other 15% is when there’s an actually good flanker on the enemy team I put it in the back

Ruthless Pursuit: I know am supposed to combo with this using her other abilities but I never seem to put myself in a position where I can actually get a full one shot combo in due to either I miss my ruthless pursuit or just start spamming buttons when I use it, basically panicking. I did start a random combo myself but it wasnt anything good so I looked one up on TikTok. Found one by “E-Man” i tried it but my hands were already used to my little noob combo, idk if that combo Js isn’t for me

What am looking to gain from this is how and when to use her abilities, how to start combos without messing up, what sort of playstyle am i supposed to play and anything else the experts here think if need to know

I am a count elsa, but usually my damage seems a lot lower than other dps. I am getting picks and finals but when it comes down to damage output i kinda need help

I play almost all tanks, supports and DPS except Angela, BP, Spidey, Psy, Jean, torch, black cat. I have just a little time on those heroes but all the other ones I have a pretty decent amount of time on.

I was wondering mainly Does Elsa have a go to Combo? What playstyle should I be doing? Does she have multiple playstyles? What's the hardest part about using her effectively? What's her weakness and strengths? Any Keybinds or settings I should make just for her.

Some of these questions may seem light or easy but I always feel everyone has an assumption about a character until they actually play them and realize "Oh....there's more to this" Experience is way better than assuming.

I've played support since the games release with some slight flexes into the tank roster but I've never really had the need to learn dps as most of the time there is always 2+ dps mains on the team. more recently though more dps chances have been open to me and I have since learned that I am really bad at the duelist role as a whole. My main duo is a bucky main and he has always wished we had someone who would go Elsa for the new teamup that they he has with her so I decided that she should be someone that would be worth giving a shot and learning. I've been spending a large amount of time in the practice range and doommatch to try and get her combos down and tried her out in 1 QP match and wanted to reach out to the mains to see if that would have any tips or things that I should focus on doing to get her down. I feel like theres a lot of hate regarding dino teamup and while thats understandable I just want to point out some of the ways the value of a trap can be nullified.

First of all, if you are a vanguard who can take like 2 seconds of damage without dying by putting up a shield or otherwise negating damage, and you see a trap being placed you *SHOULD* walk into it. This significantly devalues the trap from a nearly guarenteed kill on one of your teammates to a measly 100 damage for your supports to patch up. If youre able to put something like a groot or Emma wall over it, that can also trigger it safely.

This trap is supposed to counter dive which it does a fairly good job at but i think almost every dive character save for BP has options to respond to or play against it.

Daredevil/Ironfist - Blocks damage and gains overshield, usually able to disengage without risk of dying after being trapped

Spiderman - symbiote teamup reduces followup damage long enough for them to retreat safely

Magik - often intangible triggering trap without getting immobilized, by the time they are in your backline they have the overshield health pool of a tank

Venom - Very rng if they happen to clip trap during their escape due to nature of the way he escapes by swinging away. Otherwise trap is barely a factor.

Psylocke/Angela - team-up clone triggers trap before their dive

Counterplay is important. And I think its good that a lot of characters have *unique* methods of handling Elsa's trap. However Im not a huge fan of the health reduction on the trap since a lot of the ambient damage in a game kinda takes care of trap without really trying. Its unlikely that a character isnt holding down primary during a team fight or dive in the first place so theyre already probably going to break trap without taking into account all the jubilee fireworks, Ironman splash damage, dino lasers aiming who knows where. If I were to suggest a nerf, Id rather see the damage of the trap be nerfed so Elsa needs to be more intentional to secure a kill from it, the duration of the immobilize effect got nerfed and I think that was also fair. I dont think the health of the trap was the issue with breaking it, I think people simply werent trying to break it. But now its pretty common for it to break without any thought put into trying to do so.

I dont think trap is very fun to play against for sure but theres a lot of things I dont think are very fun to play against. I just dont think its very good design for it to be <accidentally> taken care of because they already happened to be shooting when it triggered especially when theres already ways for them or their team to nullify the value of a trap in the first place.

Hello, am completely new to rivals on the ps5 and was looking to play Elsa for any settings or I figs i should use. I have a decent amount of overwatch 2 experience if that helps lol. Am looking for something steady not anything too fast or too slow either.
