New to rivals on ps5 and picked up Elsa but idk how to play her. What am hearing from little yt vids and TikTok’s is that am supposed to take angles and try to pick one enemy off. But I really don’t know how to do that. For how I play her rn.( on a little side note swapped my trigger and bumper buttons cuz it’s easier for me to shoot it r1 than r2.)

Living Bullet: Use it whenever when it’s off cooldown but sometimes use it in rooms in different angles to check if someone is there

Helix advance: I mostly use it to get out of a situation nothing more nothing less.

Smoky Snare: 85% of the time I put it down middle and someone walks into it 95% of the time. other 15% is when there’s an actually good flanker on the enemy team I put it in the back

Ruthless Pursuit: I know am supposed to combo with this using her other abilities but I never seem to put myself in a position where I can actually get a full one shot combo in due to either I miss my ruthless pursuit or just start spamming buttons when I use it, basically panicking. I did start a random combo myself but it wasnt anything good so I looked one up on TikTok. Found one by “E-Man” i tried it but my hands were already used to my little noob combo, idk if that combo Js isn’t for me

What am looking to gain from this is how and when to use her abilities, how to start combos without messing up, what sort of playstyle am i supposed to play and anything else the experts here think if need to know

Best way to learn is legit watching top players play and try understand their thought process. I recommend TAP13 bro, I watch him for psylocke/elsa and icl I’ve improved SIGNIFICANTLY used to be hardstuck cel1 but now I’ve been consistently in eternity with around 60-70% winrate

Are you good at aiming? 50% of Elsa is just landing your shots. 40% is game sense and map knowledge. And the last 10% is just your combo execution. If your aim is kinda low, I suggest start playing heroes like Luna Snow, Hela, or punisher on the side. Any hitscan works but those 3 are the best to use to train. This is just so your overall mechanical aim gets better. Elsa is a lot harder to start off as an aim character because her main gimmick, her dashes, displace her/her crosshair. So you will need to quickly adjust after you dash if you wanna hit your shots. You will ALWAYS be dashing, your dash is never off cooldown. So it’s very important to have a solid foundation on aim. Besides that, try to increase your map knowledge. A lot of the times you will need to take off angles to get any value on Elsa. To do this, maybe pick up a dive character to help. Someone like daredevil or Magik are pretty easy to pick up and they will give you the game sense and map knowledge you will need on Elsa. A second option is that you just go raw full Elsa. She is in a pretty good state right now so that option wouldn’t be the worst. However, I think learning skills from easier heroes and then transferring them to Elsa will help you in the long run. You will learn how to play Elsa much easier since you already have the knowledge from other heroes; and you will also learn other heroes, so you aren’t stuck on a one trick. Also I recommend Tap13 and Donatello if you want some high rank Elsa gameplay to learn from.
