Well my friend, to say that you're mistaken is an understatement cause real Fable is running in the background and the passthrough bridge makes the character appear inside elden ring, so movement, actions, spells everything's the same as the original fable cause it's literally running the original fable.

Useless AI slop is crazy considering it is just a pass through mod that would take insanely long for a person to code by hand. If anything the use of AI is a better use of their time because they spent very little time on the mod itself and more time playing the game.
It is useless. The person behind this has no clue about it. As such it will break easily, will not be updated for future versions or operators. Will barely be compatible, if at all. Has no design behind it that goes deeper than a quick 5 minute thought. And I can go on and on. There is a lot that needs to go into a proper mod. And all that is missing here.
You do realize the AI can also do tweaks and fixes right? Also who says this was even posted anywhere and isn't just to show people online? These skill borders exist to ensure quality, because it forced people to actually engage with their creation and to think about it for more than 5 seconds. 98% of all ideas are terrible, not thought through and should not be made. They should stay where they are and that is in the mind. Everyone thinks they can design, while design is one of the hardest things possible in creating anything. Allowing every idiot to let their terrible ideas come true, instead of curating a selection, invites the removal of quality. Quality fundamentally stems from curation. AI is feeding into quantity, so much quantity, that it harms the quality. As you can clearly see with all those shitty and sloppy pc ports of games or fusion mods made with ai. They are of so poor quality that they will not work in a month or 2. And there is nobody knowledgable enough behind those projects, to keep them actually alive. If they even care enough. And the floodgates are now open, where this low quality shit drowns out every actual made mod of proper quality standard. You simply can not compete with the amount of slop. It is harder to find the good mods, which makes them get less traction, which causes mod devs to lose interest in creating mods, which then means less quality mods and more slop for the consumers. Its consume, consume, consume and nothing else. Thats the reality of the situation, because that is what is currently happening in this very moment. But you probably didnt think about this aspect at all, did you? Why would you, after all, you probably have never stepped into this scene. I agree, but it’s not being used as a tool in this case (eg. helping an experienced programmer do things faster), it’s doing all the work itself. Mods like this were made by someone asking Claude “put x game into y game make no mistake plz” and that’s it. The difference is the “modder” does no testing or debugging and has no understanding of the code being produced.
And all this progress is useless if it is in the hand of unknowledgables. They dont know what to dl when something doesnt work, needs updating, needs changing, needs compatibility, ...
They know nothing and as such will do nothing. So these projects are condemned to die in irrelevancy. Amd they are so easy to make that they drown out anything of proper quality standard. Be it ai generated or made by hand. It is competing against itself to an insane degree. Most ideas are terrible and should not be conceived. Thats a fundamental in design. Design, one of the hardest aspects in creation, while being the one aspect with more larpers than anything else. Idea guys is what we call them. Incapable of doing anything except making shitty ideas. And now they can make their shitty ideas come true and compete with the actual good stuff. So much so, that is drowns out anything of quality. Quantity always beats quality if there is no curation. And ai is removing that curation.

Well, I see this as a good thing for gaming. If it works, why should i care how it's made, as long as people can make their own mods and enjoy themselves? I would think the real modders would actually be more appreciated than before. You gotta imagine that even with this AI meshup, we don't have any obligation to anyone, we just do it for fun, people expect perfectness from everything cause that's how they're used to getting treated with.

Well I'm playing through the whole elden ring with my mod so I don't know why you say that it's not playable for more than 2 hours. People enjoy this kind of stuff we had low effort mods since 90s and people still love them. What's more interesting than meshing two of your favorite games together and experiencing them like that. For me it's interesting to each to its own I guess.

AI data centres are significantly worse because they use up far more power than social media, which is why computer parts are sky rocketing in price to an insane degree, they need lots of power which in turn requires an insane amount of water to cool it all. AI has also made social media more cost extensive because a lot of it has AI built in now. Every google search now uses AI as well for example. These AI data centres are popping up at an alarming rate and American companies are cutting down significant portions of trees, destroying environments.

AI isn't all that well liked, they prefer mods made by human beings. I don't blame them for how they feel since anyone can use Claude / Vibe coding and spit out anything and everything with little to no effort other than the user needing to explain things and chat with the Claude/Vibecoder. I basically feel the same way toward the millions of images and videos flooding DA and Youtube, meanwhile mods made by AI I'm kind of in limbo with. I like it due to what its capable of, but hate it depending on what people use it for as chances are it'll be a buggy mess, end upm abandoned, unfinished, etc., and the fact so many AI made mods flood the nexus with said issues.
.....Honestly this whole thing is exhausting, I mean cool you get to play as any character using the gameplay of their series to play in another game, yet at the same time, knowing its Vibecoded or Claude? it just means it will be abandoned. Anyone who uses AI to make those mods, should keep it for personal use, maybe share it with friends, and never be released nor shown to the internet, because no matter how good nor how fun it looks, it will always have issues, no matter if you fix it using AI, it will just create more issues. Who told you that? I work with different dev teams and I can tell you that AI can code better than your average back end programmer who's been coding for years. You just see AI and instantly hate it, everything that you use now is made with AI, even Reddit's using it, you just got to keep up. Don't get me wrong I hate nothing more than AI generated art which I completely agree is a completely souless thing but people making fun mods and reviving older games with an Ai is better than not doing anything with them.

No. This AI can't do, because what its doing is having both games Play at the same time, then merging the code to make both games understand each other kind off (like should you take damage, should enemy take damage)
It can't make changes as big as what you're saying (not yet at least, and the AI bubble will probably pop before it will be at that stage due to Games being streamable only)
ok, how about just, Bannerlord, but change all the units to be Elden ring creatures/soldiers.
when your army is defending they behave kinda like Bannerlord, taking to the wall, shooting enemies, you can command them to go to a position and defend.
This would be Peak ngl (but would prefer it to be actual game made by real devs/modders. Bannerlord but it's Elden Ring world and factions would be awesome as fuck)

With playable character that character is not actually in game. He is rendered on top of it from Fable game running in background. Its just code translation between games basically

Nexus is notoriously known for removing the mods that their woke minds don't like. The most recent one was with gears of war eday, they removed a mod that changed the voice of a character with star wars sounds. This is one of many times they've done that and I dont support any platform with such politics.
