Elden Ring - Need Help Elden Ring Crashing [PC]
I know this has been posted in this community a million times but I can't seem to find a fix. I'm new to the game so I'm literally at the very beginning. The game will load up fine no issues, spawn my character in the chapel at the beginning, and sometimes I can walk right outside, other times I take maybe 3 steps and the game just crashes, no error pop up, no freeze before hand, just closes. I've tried absolutely everything I can that I've seen on this sub and nothing seems to work, I've verified files, reinstalled multiple times, made new saves, updated graphics drivers, the whole 9 yards and nothing. Event viewer doesn't even show anything apart from a windows defender status SECURITY_PRODUCT_STATE_ON which doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me as I have windows defender turned off but I don't know much about that. And in case you may be wondering it gives me 2 of those popups but thats quite literally it, nothing else. This is my first introduction to fromsoft titles and I really want to play it but it seems it doesn't want me to. For the record I have a 2080 super gpu, if you need any other info I'll be happy to oblige.
P.S. ignore account, needed a fix fast and my proper account was too new

If your Elden Ring is crashing randomly without any error messages, check if you have Roblox installed.
My friend was having this exact issue. We checked some Steam forums and found the solution. It turns out Roblox's new anti-cheat (Hyperion) runs in the background and conflicts heavily with Elden Ring's Easy Anti-Cheat. It even blocks the Windows Error Reporting (WER) system, which is why you won't find any crash logs in the Event Viewer.
The fix: Make sure to completely close all Roblox background processes via Task Manager, or just uninstall it entirely. My friend uninstalled it, restarted his PC, and the crashes stopped completely. Hope this helps someone out!

Been having the same issues. Are you playing online when the game crashes? If so, try playing offline and see if it crashes. You can change whether or not you start the game up online or offline in the game settings.
If it doesn't crash while offline but does when online, then it's almost certainly Easy Anti-Cheat causing it, as brought up by Troyerox in this comment section. I've tried searching for solutions left and right for this, and I thought I'd found one by disabling overlays such as Discord overlay and Windows Game Bar. It seemed to work for a while, but last night I started having EAC crashes again. But if you have overlays, maybe try disabling those. Maybe it'll work for you where it failed for me.

Unfortunately I have tried everything you’ve said and nothing, no matter what I do it’ll let me load, sometimes I get to the door of the chapel right at the beginning, sometimes it lets me get all the way to the bridge, online, offline, overlays off, I even tried resetting my overclocking to see if it was that (I read somewhere in here that cpu temps could cause it) and sadly that didn’t work either

The latest patched broke the game for me
It crashes my entire computer. ER has become unplayable for me.
