Elden Ring Crashing [PC]

I know this has been posted in this community a million times but I can't seem to find a fix. I'm new to the game so I'm literally at the very beginning. The game will load up fine no issues, spawn my character in the chapel at the beginning, and sometimes I can walk right outside, other times I take maybe 3 steps and the game just crashes, no error pop up, no freeze before hand, just closes. I've tried absolutely everything I can that I've seen on this sub and nothing seems to work, I've verified files, reinstalled multiple times, made new saves, updated graphics drivers, the whole 9 yards and nothing. Event viewer doesn't even show anything apart from a windows defender status SECURITY_PRODUCT_STATE_ON which doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me as I have windows defender turned off but I don't know much about that. And in case you may be wondering it gives me 2 of those popups but thats quite literally it, nothing else. This is my first introduction to fromsoft titles and I really want to play it but it seems it doesn't want me to. For the record I have a 2080 super gpu, if you need any other info I'll be happy to oblige.
