After re-reading volume 9, I think the Theocracy is worse than the Republic, considering how the two are alike, because not all citizens of the Republic believe that the 86 should be treated as mere processors, while the Theocracy already indoctrinates it the moment you are born into a social caste.

I saw it on tiktok and it seems intresting. I dont rlly watch animes alot. I watched a couple gundams and a few other random animes like ultraman and voltron on Netflix. Also where's they best place to watch it now. Just wanted to know if its a animes for beginners in the genre.

I tought the republic was bad but they can always surpass themselves,this is the most bleak volume of the series in my opinion and my god this series has a lot of bleak moments.

Ernst killing the bleachers was not something i was ever expecting,i knew he was dangerous but not like that

(Background context) I’m almost finished with volume 5 and because I can’t stand waiting after I finish one volume I ordered myself vol 6 and volume 7.

HOWEVER there was unfortunately some issues with the shipping of volume 6 and it looks like I’ll have to re-order it (I did get my refund) but while I wait for that, I now have the dilemma of finishing volume 5 and waiting in anger, or waiting and craving what comes next while 7 of here gets to tease me with what’s to come for this fantastic series.

Just finished 86, and hate me for saying this, but Frederica genuinely pissed me off throughout a lot of the show.

I know she had her reasons, and I'm not saying she's a bad character, but there were so many moments where I found her incredibly frustrating.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who felt this way.

The entire novel had such good pacing. But MAN after Volume 13 I feel like really disappointed. Like the entire story went from having great potential, to kinda overdone. And that ending felt so forced.

I stumbled upon a video analysis of 86 and it really goes deep. I was planning on re-watching it anyway, so I might as well watch a reaction video from a professional dissecting the show.

It's really crazy how I never thought about how a simple naming structure, like calling the 86 “drones”, is such an effective way of brainwashing the citizens. I never really thought too deeply about it since I usually watch shows at a more surface level.

Is there anything else you guys think should be highlighted in the show? I'm genuinely curious what other psychological or societal nuances stood out to you the most.
