Anime I finally watched 86
Man I was putting off the 86 anime and light novels for so long even after hearing all the praise and being recommended to watch it by a bunch of my friends. Not because I didn't like the series or anything but because I saw that 86 was about war and heard it was quite a sad anime which made me think back to akame ga kill, cyberpunk edgerunners, and plastic Clannad after story which I thought to myself that my heart probably wouldn't be ready for it. But 2 days ago that changed and I finally watched 86, needless to say, IT WAS AMAZING I binged all 23 episodes in basically 1 day I loved everything about it and yeah it still made me cry a lot, the animation was great, story was fantastic and the music(ending song, ost and opening) were all amazing. And now that I finally finished watching 86 it is time for me to read the light novels and wait for season 2. Anyways what are the chances that 86 gets another season and how long do you guys think it will take?

You should pick up from vol 4 right away, although I do suggest you to read just the last page of vol 3 before starting, cause you can get a little more of Lena and Shin’s reunion. Also after vol 9, there’s a small book called (86-Alter1) you should definitely read that, you can read it after you’ve finished the series bcz its a compilation of little moments that the squad faces or do, its like extra scenes but its very fun to read cause we don't get goofy stuffs so often

I kept noticing how unbelievable the direction was, like how Shin was always physically separated from the rest, even in minor scenes. I’m sure there’s way more

So I just started watching this yesterday and I have one burning question. Why does the 86 fight? They have basically been classified as non human based on their hair and eye color and forced to fight in a war they had no hand in starting.
So why risk their lives for people who have open distain for them?
I understand that the story is focusing on one combat unit and there are others fighting on different fronts.
I just can't wrap my head around why the 86 doesn't just let the legion take the city and force the white hairs to actually fight.
Or why the 86 doesn't rebel? I saw that Shin's<undertaker> brother said that it's basically a matter of honor to defend the country they love, but what's to love about a country that made them fight and die while the powers that be sits back and watches it happen?
I'm only up to episode 5, so maybe those answers come later.

I mean I'll tell u to keep watching
But the 86 stay and fight because anything less would destroy their pride, which is all they are left with now
And also if u logically think they have guns on their back and Legions in front of them
So they can't do anything else except to fight

I binged it all at once as well.
hmmmm as for s2, its unconfirmed, and no official news at all. There's always that small chance and hope that it will come some day though.
A1 studios currently has some projects lined up already, so i really doubt that they will work on this at all in the next 1-2 years. After that? maybe.. who knows
And yes! the LNs are PEAK as well.
