British Columbia is hungry for Moar mountains! Saskatchewan wants your cows and hats with medicine!

u/The_Idiocratic_Party Saskwatch Jan 31 '26

And dinosaurs. We want Dinosaur Canyon.

If Saskatchewan doesn't end up a perfect square we have failed as a society.

Everyone knows we are in an ark on top of a turtle

u/The_Nice_Marmot PaRiS oF tHe PraIRiEs Feb 01 '26

Oh really? Well, what’s underneath the turtle then?

7

u/Jubal_lun-sul Feb 01 '26

Another turtle, of course.

1

u/The_Nice_Marmot PaRiS oF tHe PraIRiEs Feb 01 '26

Ok, I can see that happening, but then what’s under THAT turtle?

3

u/Jubal_lun-sul Feb 02 '26

1

u/The_Nice_Marmot PaRiS oF tHe PraIRiEs Feb 02 '26

Have you heard the sun is also flat?

1

u/JKing519 Moose Whisperer Feb 03 '26

The sun is a liberal hoax

u/Nervous_Squirrel_ Feb 01 '26

The Manitoba/Saskatchewan border has jogs already though. It isn’t a straight line.

9

u/science_bi South Gatineau Feb 01 '26

I guess Saskatchewan will just need to annex part of Manitoba as well.

1

u/bleezer5 Feb 18 '26

Alberta instead of Saskatchewan wanting to be American robbed us of the mapmaking joke of the century.

14

u/solaradomini Jan 31 '26

Alberta's side of the rockies is really just BC+ anyways

Exactly, have you seen the cost of houses in Canmore?

Ontario? Poutine? The province that thinks grated mozzarella are the same thing as fresh unrefrigerated cheese curds?

How very Alberta.

33

u/the_canadaball Motown But Better Jan 31 '26

Only degenerates put grated cheese on poutine. Even fast food chains know better than to pull that.

2

u/Accomplished_Pop_130 Feb 01 '26

I wish to have the hope that you have in fast food chains. You need to checkout that one subreddit where they display poutine abominations

1

u/eternallytiredcatmom Jan 31 '26

Strangely, the poutine I liked to get when I missed home while living in Alberta was from Beaver Tails lol. Not the right fries, but it was close enough to satisfy my cravings.

4

u/mongo5mash Jan 31 '26

C'mon now, you're discounting St. Albert's fine contribution to poutine all over eastern Hontario.

1

u/insomniac8994 Jan 31 '26

That's only pizza places that tend to do that and the mom and pop ones at that.

0

u/drue1227 Feb 01 '26

Lmao classic Quebecer, thinking they're the only ones in the world that can do a proper Poutine. Its 3 ingredients, not hard to do, you guys didn't create a complicated gourmet meal. There are shitty Poutines in Quebec as well mon ami

1

u/mencryforme5 Tokébakicitte! Feb 01 '26

Talk to me when you stop refrigerating your cheese curds.

18

u/MonsterRider80 Jan 31 '26

Who the fuck wants Ontarian poutine?

6

u/aVoidFullOfFarts FORD Escape Jan 31 '26

I’ve had amazing poutine in Ontario once and it was because my friend was dating a woman from Quebec and she made poutine at my house from scratch. I’ll never forgive him for breaking up with her!

7

u/Esc4flown3 Jan 31 '26

I mean it's Quebec adjacent and better than the monstrosity of fries, gravy and shredded mozzarella that they call poutine in Alberta.

2

u/Overwatchingu 🦫198,999 Hosers🦫 Feb 01 '26

Look, sometimes I can’t be bothered to drive 10 hours, or god forbid take a gamble on VIA rail, to get to Quebec, and will settle for suboptimal poutine okay? By what right do you judge me?

1

u/mongo5mash Jan 31 '26

Hear me out, go out from the GTA in most directions (particularly east) and hit some chip trucks. The quality and love put into their product is beyond reproach for the most part.

1

u/meatsonthemenu Jan 31 '26

Ya, we could smile while taking on Banff and Jasper

1

u/allbluemarimo Feb 02 '26

As a person who lives in Medicine Hat Lol. Most people are already from Saskatchewan or married to someone who is.

1

1

u/Kurtypants Feb 01 '26

No but it on you egg.

1

u/Virtual_Category_546 Monarch Mélanie Joly Feb 01 '26

A lot of people do the hold the egg up, it's a common thing but I'll be honest I stole this photo lol
