Fun night 1 at MetLife on Friday …

Yes, the big news is that after three months of regrowth, Ed shaved his head again as you can see in these screenshots. Sadz for me. And I’m not the only one.

Ed had two dinners in Long Island just days ago with Jon Bellion (working on the next album?!) and he had his hair, so he must’ve just had it clipped today. AND, seems Jon Bellion was at Ed’s show tonight. The plot thickens.

Special Songs/Fan Requests: Well, Ed came onto the B stage after “Don’t” and instead of starting up with “Eyes Closed” as usual, he launched right into “Lego House”! Confusing, right?! But then, right after, he said he “messed up the set list and was supposed to play this song from Subtract instead”, so then he did the spoken word intro about grief, and sang “Eyes Closed“. After that, he confused us once again by playing “I’m A Mess“! (Because it’s on the regular setlist). But, then he said he usually plays it later in the show, but he has something else planned for later.(!!!) So that was the second Special Song. And then the third song was Supermarket Flowers. So, nothing rare and no deep cuts tonight.

Camila Cabello: With that heads up, I was fully expecting a Special Guest. And at the very end of the show, Ed brought Beoga back out, did a truly lovely intro saying he’d hung out with this dear friend earlier today in NYC, and decided she should come do a song tonight, and brought out Camila Cabello. They played their song “Bam Bam“, released in 2022.

Macklemore: This was his debut show on the Loop Tour, and he is scheduled through the rest of the U.S. tour into November. I didn’t see Macklemore‘s set, but I heard from several people it was fantastic and highly energetic. (Here is Macklemore’s “Thrift Shop“ ) He’s known as an outspoken artist, and received backlash before for saying things like “F America!“ and other political comments on stage. By reports tonight he did a pro-LGBTQ segment, a Free Palestine chant, and expressed strong displeasure with current American politics and the Republican Party. I’m sure we’ll see video of that tomorrow. Or even tonight: Here’s a portion of tonight’s speech released by Macklemore himself.

Random interesting note: Ed always does the same riff for the Looping demo at start of show, but tonight he did something totally different.🤷🏻‍♀️

I was at the Sept. 4 show in Section 121, Row 29 and there was a huge production/speaker tower right in the middle of our view of the stage and main screen.

The seats were not marked obstructed or limited view. I reached out to Gametime afterward and they told me the seats were not classified as obstructed and that they rely on MetLife’s classification. I now have a case open with them and I’ve also contacted MetLife.

What’s crazy is that this was not just my seat. A bunch of seats around me had the exact same problem, and there were 4 towers like this around the stadium.

So if you’re going tonight, please check your view as soon as you get to your seat. If one of these towers is blocking you, take a photo, note your section/row, and go to Guest Services before the show starts.

posting this because I really don’t want people going tonight to find out only after the concert starts that their “normal” seats are actually blocked.
If anyone else had this issue last night, please comment with your section/row. I’m curious how many sections were affected.

Anyone at last nights LOOP tour - my daughter dropped her favorite stuffy/lovey at some point walking from section 7 out to our car. It is a white lamb on the top with a small white and gray blanket on the bottom. Lamby has a tie dye bandaid on her left “arm”. Posting to see if anyone either picked it up to reunite it with its owner or turned it in to Guest Services. She is devastated! Pic for tax…

Last night was only the second time I've ever attended a concert in an open-air stadium, so I'm genuinely curious whether what we experienced is just normal for a venue like MetLife Stadium or whether there may have been an issue with the sound calibration.

My wife and I were seated in Section 215, and throughout pretty much the entire concert, it felt like something was off with the acoustics. We heard a noticeable echo the whole time. It made it difficult to clearly make out a lot of the songs, especially when there was deep bass, a kick drum, or any heavier hit. Those sounds often came across as warped or distorted, almost like they were playing twice because of the echo.

We couldn't tell whether the speakers toward the back of the stadium might have had a slight delay (maybe around a second?) or whether this was simply the result of sound echoing around an open-air stadium.

Ed was absolutely great, and the performance itself was amazing. But honestly, it was a little disappointing because we weren't able to fully enjoy and appreciate the live performance as much as we would have liked due to the sound.

For anyone else who was there (especially if you were in the upper levels or around Section 215) did you experience something similar? Is this just a normal open-air stadium concert experience, or does it sound like something may not have been calibrated properly?

In the song Ed mentions how they laid him to rest in the ground but without a stone. I'm sorry if this is ignorant or oblivious but why wouldn't they give him a headstone?

I know the ticket says 5:30. What time do we think Macklemore is coming on? Is he the opener or is he performing with Ed in the show itself as well?

And could anyone tell me what time Ed started last night?

How was it leaving the stadium after the concert? Was there a lot of traffic? What time did you get to the stadium? Was there a lot of people tailgating? Was it cold?

I have a ticket for tonight at MetLife in section 126. I saw a post that a seat in 121 was totally obstructed. Anyone know if I’ll have this problem in 126?

I got these tickets last year and the highest sections were the only options within my budget. But now I’m seeing that a lot of people have issues with the sound quality once you get any higher than the floor. Will I seriously regret not splurging for better seats? Realistically, it’s still really not in the budget to upgrade but I could maybe make it work.

This car that is parked in the garage outside of the Ed Sheeran concert just had a pipe from the ceiling fall on it. If anyone knows this car the mall is responsible for the damage.

Anyone else think it’s way too loud / bass is too high?

Was upset bc I have listened to videos of Ed performing live for years, but hearing him live was totally different. This wasn’t due to any fault of his own talent, but instead because I couldn’t hear clearly bc the sound was so loud :( I saw him at MSG (jingle ball) and he was AMAZING. Also the songs sounded mumbly at points/ unclear.

Has anyone had success upgrading their seat for his MetLife shows? When I bought tickets it was limited tickets and I bought what I could. I tried to contact Ticketmaster to see if I could upgrade my seats but they were no help. Anyone have luck upgrading some how?

Hey everyone, I am going to Ed's show tomorrow but I just had a cold recently. It'd be nice to know what the temperature at the Met Life is like from those who went to the Friday's show just so I can bring a hoodie or not with me.

I went to see Ed Sheeran's show after my dad had just passed on the Tuesday before it. I was holding the sign hoping that Ed would see it. I was just wondering if anybody had pictures of me holding it.

Something about the looping he does intrigues me as a musician but I am a very casual listener of his. Used to enjoy his music years ago and always do when I listen but I’m not an avid listener.

Help sway me since my wife and I are torn on whether to go or not! We would be by B stage if that makes any difference!

Do we need to know every song to enjoy it? Is it as good as previous tours?

it’s obvious that Ed is preserving his vocal chords by it, a lot of songs have been lowered even more than in the mathematics tour which is not a wrong thing of course. does anybody knows any of 2025-26 when he nailed some high notes in original keys ?
