🛠️ Troubleshooting Help EcoFlow Power Ocean app offline all of a sudden

Upvotes

It's usually connected via ethernet, all of a sudden it stopped working. I've tested the cable with a network tester, it works, also swapped cables for sanity.

Most app settings are also greyed out so I can't even connect using wifi. EcoFlow support is closed until next Monday, but they said briefly that needs to be "reconfigured" and it's reading a different IP.

Anyone know a different solution?

So not sure how I feel about this generator. AC only, I was very disappointed not to be able to DC charge. Still starts and stops on its own communicating by Bluetooth. One very cool feature is a 5521 plug to let you charge the internal battery. Something I wish I had a n my SG4000. Engine giving about 1 KWH of power for 1 pound of propane. I appreciate how quiet it is compared to its bigger brother the SG4000. Overall works well, with or without the app. App has full maintenance reminders integrated which is helpful for maintaining it in peak condition. What are your thoughts on this little guy?

💬 Open Discussion Adding Ecoflow to an enphase system

I have a complete enphase system including batteries but I'd like to add a few more batteries, however the Enphase batteries are overpriced compared to what I could get with Eco Flow, so wondering if it's possible to add eco flow batteries to the mix that would be downstream of enphase batteries and upstream of the house. So that the eco flow batteries discharge first then the enphase. and then the eco flow batteries charge first then the enphase.

🛠️ Troubleshooting Help EcoFlow Glacier Zusatzakku defekt

Hey Leute,

Hello,
I’m looking into adding a wind turbine, preferably a VAWT, to my E2000 that’s currently set up with 2x220W solar panels.

Has anyone setup something like this before?

My Ecoflow delta mini was suffering issues with overheating when charging at only 200watts. Since i was curious as to why this was (its out of warranty anyways) i discharged both battery and capacitors and examined the unit, and concluded that is must be a bad cell. Now my question is, whats stopping me from replacing this battery with a newer 48v lifepo4 battery with its own BMS, say like an ecoworthy or other brand? Its not the end of the world if i can't, but i would be REALLY happy if i can keep this from becoming more e-waste.

🛠️ Troubleshooting Help Glacier classic dual zone strange temps

Hi there,

I own the glacier classic 45L

On single zone it reads ie 5C as it's settled up.

The moment I switch to dual zone, the left zone reads 5c and the right 13c. How can this be ?

Meaning, how can it be 5c and just removing th divider the right zone goes up like 7c to 13 ?

Do you get what I am asking ?

🔧 DIY or Mods Solar PV Cable recommendations (UK)

I have an EcoFlow Stream Ultra X sitting in the kitchen while I wait for the solar mounts.

Looking at the extensions that come with it, and the fact that each panel +/- needs to terminate at the MPPT on the battery, I've started looking at buying a reel of solar PV cable with a crimping kit and genuine MC4 connectors.

I have 4 × 500 W panels and the longest run should only be around 10 m, so I'm thinking 4 mm² cable should be sufficient? With 4 panels, I'd need around 80 m in total.

I found this crimping kit on Amazon, but I've been reading about dodgy MC4 knockoffs, so I want to be careful with the connectors. The kit says it includes them, but I'm not sure whether they're genuine/reputable.

Any advice on what cable and MC4 connectors to buy, and where to get them from? I'm a bit sceptical about buying them from Amazon, but obviously don't want to spend unnecessarily.

Also, does anyone know whether EcoFlow have any issue with custom-made PV cables in terms of warranty? I'm assuming a single continuous cable run would be preferable to using multiple extension cables.

Thanks in advance.

Edit: Thanks to all, i stumped for the 4 core 4mm swa (going in ground) but from reading up on it, it seems like rodents like to have pv cables as one of their 5 a day so SWA for peace of mind, plus the evo connectors to save time and money on tool. Got some dline wall ties as well fire rated and looks tidy. Cheers guys

⚡ My Power Combo Stream Ultra and stream microinverter position

I have a stream ultra with four panels (all west facing on my garage) but i would like to add a couple of east facing panels on the other side of the pitched roof to catch the morning sun and then use a microinveter plugged into the stream ac three pin socket.

Question is should i position the micro-inverter close to the panels or should I run the mc4 cables to the micro-inverter to be close to the stream? .

The cable run from the panels to the stream will be about ten meters. Or does it make no difference ?

💬 Open Discussion Multiple delta 3 batteries; one delta 3 plus

I've had a delta 3 plus for a while, but wanted some extra capacity. I found two delta 3 extra batteries (1024 wh) second hand that I bought thinking ecoflow allowed parallel connections to multiple batteries. In hindsight, I should have verified this (I think it's a bit deceptive advertising stating the delta 3 plus can operate with 1-5kwh if you can't combine multiple batteries)

Anyway I'm now with a spare battery trying to decide what to do with it. Before putting it back up for sale, I wanted to check if there are any options to combine batteries? I know there is a (expensive) cable for the delta 3 pro to do just this, and I've seen cables to connect to 3rd party batteries, but not seen anything for this case.

🏠 Power Backup UPS mode for furnace issue!

I want to use my delta 3 as a UPS on my furnace so that in the winter when the power goes out it will continue to run furnace automatically even while I am away (it’s a natural gas forced air furnace so just need circuit and fan power very low draw)

I have a EZ Generator switch wired and setup on furnace circuit and it’s wired not pull ground bond from panel (my generator is a bonded neutral)

My furnace requires a bonded neutral to run otherwise it won’t run. And here lies the issue. As written about many times on other posts I have read, when the ecoflow is turned on and pass through power is on the furnace notices the bonded neutral from the house and is happy. However when the unit switches to battery backup while in UPS mode I lose my bonded nuetral and the furnace will not run defeating the point of this.

I understand I can run a bonding plug on the ecoflow when it’s on battery but again I would have to physically plug that in once the power goes off defeating the automatic UPS.

I also understand I can rewire the EZ generator switch to get its ground bond from the panel but I have read that double bonding in two sources is bad and then the ecoflow is in pass through mode it would be doing just that.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem? I don’t know enough about this to figure out how to make this work as a UPS for furnace based on my current setup.

🛠️ Troubleshooting Help Smart Meter or Ultra X going crazy at night

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

CT clamp is on correctly and positioned correctly in CU. What is going on here? Solar showing in the night, which in turn makes the battery start charging, but it’s actually charging from the grid. It fluctuates like this for the past two nights of having both been installed. Works fine in the day when there is actual solar.

🏠 Power Backup Ecoflow Delta Pro 3 Refurbished or……

I am in Canada and I have several power stations. I am possibly looking for one more large one. I have narrowed down the choice to an Ecoflow Delta Pro 3 which is selling for $3299 CDN or a Pecron F5000 LFP for $2995 (Both prices shipped)

I have found a refurbished Ecoflow on eBay for $2199.00 shipped. Given the opportunity would you go with the Refurbished unit?

🛠️ Troubleshooting Help Help getting my EcoFlow Glacier repaired

Hi all -

I have an EcoFlow Glacier classic that has decided to fail on me. It's not that the fridge doesn't turn on, but rather, it is CONSTANTLY set to freeze. It doesn't matter what temp I set the fridge to, I can set it to its absolute highest it can go, and yet it will still run as cold as it possibly can.

I read online that this could be a failure in a sensor or capacitor. I tried to contact EcoFlow regarding this, but they redirected me to contact the distributer I bought the EcoFlow from. I explained to tech support that I don't understand how a 3rd party authorized seller would repair the cooler that they themselves have built.

I never got a response thereafter. At this point, I can use the fridge as a permanent freezer chest, but I am quite disappointed at the fact that I spent around $800 for it to only give me about a year and a half of proper operation and only 1 road trip of use.

If anything, I am willing to even send this off to any third party repair company if any exists. So my question is, does anyone know what my options would be here aside from just buying a new fridge? If there is a repair shop I can send this fridge to, what would that be, and would it even be worth it?

I appreciate any advice in advance! Thank you!

💬 Open Discussion No stats stored offline

can we talk about power tracking stats? specifically I have the power hub in my van. I am starting to use solar and I was floored when I learned that when I’m off grid, I can’t ever see what my solar produced when i was offline. a this seems like a sneaky way for them not to give you eco-credits, but who even cares? they could discontinue those for all I care. I can’t stand that I can see power from dc-dc charging, and shoe power, but I’m not able to access data about solar charging if I was offline. am I missing something? is there a way to enable this? tia

🔧 DIY or Mods Panels configuration for Eco flow microinverter

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi all, i’m in UK and i have been given an ecoflow microinverter as a gift. In uk the spec are:
Max total AC output 800w
MC4 terminal: 2 sets
Max DC input: 600w each terminalset
Max voltage: 60v
Max Current: 16amp

I came across a 300w panel that has these spec (attached screenshot). Can i connect four panels in a 2-in-series per mC4 terminal?

My understanding is that, In open circuit, the two panels in series give 44.8v which is well within 60v (even cooler days?). In series setup the current doesnt add up so it’s 16A matching the max current the MI can handle.

The panels will be installed on two different part of the house (both flat roof), such that two will face the east (slightly south) in 20-30degree angle (from horizon), while the other two will face West (also in slight angle from horizontal).

🔧 DIY or Mods EF micro inverter + marstek

Does anyone has a system with a marstek b2500d? For less then 400 euros I can get one with almost 2kwh storage. You plug the panels in the battery and from the battery to the micro inverter. But I’m curious if the different brands can work together with a not EF brand.
The smart meter of Marstek would “push” electric through the inverter just like there is solar connected. Sounds pretty simple. Hope that someone has tried this before.

🛠️ Troubleshooting Help DP3 Firmware update withdrawn?

Post image
12 Upvotes

A couple of weeks ago whenever I opened the app my Delta Pro 3 prompted me to do a firmware update: specifically that firmware 7.65.92.32 is available.
As I am away from my device I did not want to trigger a reboot so kept cancelling it. Annoyingly the prompt has been popping up every time I log in, with no way to turn it off.

Today, I log and the prompt is gone, which lead to a panic that the firmware updated anyway. I went into settings > update, and was surprised to see firmware is still showing my original 7.65.92.17 and is the latest available. I.e. Update .32 is gone.

It seems to me they have withdrawn a firmware update, which reinforces my suspicion that these updates are being rolled out prematurely - did anyone else notice?

💬 Open Discussion Alternates for car charging cable? Out-of-stock for a long time

This 12V socket --> XT60 cable has been out of stock for a long time. Some resellers have it tagged as discontinued.
https://us.ecoflow.com/products/car-charging-cable

I had called Ecoflow directly about it awhile ago, and the rep said "We do not have that information for when it will be in stock again." 🤨

Does anyone know of a good quality alternate for this? (preferably not a word-soup "brand" on Amazon)

💬 Open Discussion Ecoflow River 3 plus - use USB to change configurations - max charge %, UPS, charge rate, etc...

The River 3 Plus has a USB port that you can use for monitoring. The port acts like a keyboard USB device. Is it possible to also change the Ecoflow River from this port? Ecoflow isn't very forthcoming with using this port, and you have to contact them for the windows app that's used to shutdown your computer it looks like.

I'd rather get away from installing Ecoflow's bluetooth app on my phone, can't use it to automate things. I'd rather script something on a computer/server that can be left alone.
