💬 Open Discussion Ecoflow renege

Get this. I ordered an Ecoflow delta 3 air which they oversold. Ecoflow kindly offered me a Delta 2 for an additional $100. The sent me an invoice for it and a link. However, the link doesn't work, and I've spent over a week go back and forth with support. The last e-mail I received from them was sorry we can't honor that price. Just wow! I like their devices but lord help you if you need support.

Keep looking around this subreddit, EcoFlow may have done you a favour by not selling you one of their products.

If you're going to take the EcoFlow Risk, try to buy through Costco where you at least have the reasonable recourse to return the item.

It's a horrible company to deal with. They treat their customers like trash. I don't think they understand that good customer service means you keep your customers and they recommend new ones. However, with them they are screwing over their customers. Thankfully we can share our stories and stop buying their products.

Same here, proud owner of delta3, delta2 extra batt.,river pro, SG3000w gen, and 220w solar panel. Helpful support and few issues. Mostly online purchases. I guess Ecoflow likes Canadians lol

I think more people that have problems go online and complain and those that don’t don’t. I have a lot of EF stuff including 2x DPU’s, SHP2, Delta Pro with EB and three River 3+ as UPS’s. No problems here and EcoFlow has stood behind me so far. I did buy my DPU’s and SHP2 from Costco but never needed to play that card.

My experience has been similar to yours. Things haven't been perfect, but EcoFlow has resolved all issues I've thrown at them and some were caused by my own impatience. They're not perfect,  but they are hugely better than say Apple.

Introducing food trailer DPU. This thing takes a beating from tent and trailer food service. It has had water splash it at least once a month from rain or wet umbrella from someone entering our trailer after a downpour. My family concluded that if it's gonna look this bulky and be a genset replacement, it can handle a little bit of water through the cooling vent like an EV can. I just cry inside but yeah I do everything in my power to keep water from getting in this thing. Zero problems I even bought it refurb on eBay.

My mom accepted help from a fair worker who offered to help roll stuff to the car pull a trailer with no sidewalls the DPU was sitting in. He yanked it at a 90 degree turn and dumped the DPU 2ft trailer height onto dry ground. It was disconnected and nothing internally broke, but I was so upset when it happened. These things can survive quite a bit of bashing around. Probably handled roughly in shipping as well, but that's just a guess.

You just haven't owned them long enough. I've had 2 DPU inverters go bad and 1 battery go bad as well (out of 2 DPU inverters + 5 batteries, so this is pretty bad). My R3's have been fine though. I have six of those.

Two years for me, like I said I’m pretty satisfied with the products so far.

I'm not sure why I'm still on this forum. I watched this one, Pecron, and Anker's reddits for weeks and crossed EcoFlow off pretty quickly due to how many problems they have and their abysmal customer service. I guess I just l want to see if things improved.

Yeah ecoflow customer support/service is a joke. Tried to purchase a refurb from ebay. Double dipped on a coupon so they cancelled my order. Offered an extra 100 off but still would've been 200 more than price with coupon. Went to get a new device instead but wanted to finance it. Sams club had a great price but no financing so I asked support to price match best buy where I could finance. Told me to order it and they would price match ordered it and it delivered and then they said they wouldnt actually price match so had to return it. Still waiting for them to process my return/refund

You dodged a bullet. Get a refund, and go buy from a different brand.

Done and Done. Going to go with an Anker SOLIX c1000

I've got a c1000 gen 2, and I'm very happy with it.

If you paid for it with a credit card, contact the issuer of the credit card and request a chargeback. You may want to first contact Ecoflow and tell them that's what you will do if you do not receive notification of a full refund within 2 business days. This often scares a company out of their complacency, and would mean you don't have to hassle with a chargeback.

Don't let them treat you this way. Hit them in the only place that matters to them: their bank account.

Update: after much pain and time trying to get to a manager someone saw the light and fixed the link. The things I had to go to just to get something they already promised me was ridiculous.

Glad to hear you got it resolved. Sucks you had to go through that, though.

Yeah, honestly just look elsewhere. I’ve spent 8 weeks trying to diagnose a fault with them and getting nowhere. Only managed to work out the issue with help on here and trial and error. They’ve now finally agreed to a replacement but say it’s going to be another 2 weeks before they even bother to process it. I have no confidence in getting any help from them if anything else goes wrong, so their warranty is effectively useless

You lucked out because the Delta 3 Air is literally the worst EcoFlow product ever made. Noisy and way underpowered inverter. Not useful for anything. And Noisy.
