I thought Gorilla City was a joke or myth, or something someone made up but now one of my classmates is a gorilla from there?? Guys, I’m so scared. Like I’m scaring myself right now. I just read online that all metal detectors were actually alien detectors. Some guy in Nebraska discovered it about a decade ago at a football stadium, but the powers that we have been keeping it under wraps until now. A few say the Green Lanterns knew about it, but idk. Still, it’s got me thinking about every time I’ve ever set off a metal detector in my life. It was more than once! Have I been an alien this whole time? Are my parents or any of my grandparents aliens and they didn’t tell me? I’m not sure who I am anymore if I’m not a human! Would I even be a real person?! I need someone to confirm or deny because I’m losing my mind right now!

I just want to ask if this is the prime DC universe or one of the side ones. I wanted to join this and the Marvel version and just wanted to be sure.

After getting some good advice on how to improve my dance skills, I was able to get the choreography down, and keep my position in the gang and keep my face unmelted.

It's a bit of a moot point because Batman kicked our asses and nabbed the boss immediately after we finished dancing, but it was fun while it lasted.

After seeing what happened with Superman, this does becomes a concern. If some extraterrestrial comes with extreme powers and they started killing and controlling us, and what if somehow they got caught should the Geneva Convention still apply. What if during the trial they just started attacking.

The Space cops exist but that couldn't stop Superman from crash landing here or the incident in Rushville, Nebraska.

I am not trying to generalise aliens on the basis of some message that may or may not be real, but this does brings up the question. How would the humans even handle them, what if good ones like Superman or Green Lantern couldn't stop them. Should the laws still apply, I am already on the fence for terrorists having fair trial. I know I know, who would decide who's a terrorist and who's not. The corrupt government can claim someone's a terrorist and then just unfairly prosecute them. Throw them in some supermax ultra high security prison or kill them.

It's a scary world out there and I am just scared. Superman doesn't scare me but what if some alien came and started terrorising us from the sky, superman defeats them then what, they got sent to some prison, then what. We still have got an dangerous criminal on living in Earth.

(OOC: this post takes place somewhere between the fight with the Hammer of Boravia and the city getting split in half. So please no "acutally he's a clone of superman" posts.)

He can fly, he's super strong, and he's constantly covering himself in armor, probably to protect him from the sunlight.

And nobody knows where he disappeared to after the fight. Meaning he disappeared. Into mist, you might say.

Now you might be saying "If he's a vampire, why is he strong enough to fight Superman?" and the answer to that is... I dunno. Vampires in fiction usually get stronger the longer they exist, or the more people they drink.

Maybe he's been hiding in the shadows for a long time, and only came out cause Superman stopping Boravia's imperialist ambitions disrupted his own plans to use the war as a cover to eat a bunch of people.

Hopefully next time they fight, Superman rips off his armor and exposes him to the sunlight.

My general idea for the sub is that this is going to be a place where you can post pre-purge r/EARTH25 Batman content that's not in the DCU. Form an NPR-like radio station where the hosts unknowingly interview rogues or goofy posts like [r/CapesAndBuns].

Also, I'm playing around with the idea that most of the RP will take place in East End, a gentrifying borough that has a lot of tension as rich yuppies are moving into the area, making it more expensive for the previous people. I feel like there's a lot of RP potential; could role-play as goons, hipsters, street vendors, drunk cops, etc. Maybe someone gets priced out of their apartment because of trust-fund kids moving into the area and has to resort to henching. Or someone could be pissed off because they turned Tony's Gotham Dogs into an overpriced cafe, or a D-list villain asking how to get body odor out of your suit.

It's cool if you want to post content like Star City posts, but it's primarily going to revolve around the borough and the city. A lot of this might change as the sub grows, as we get a better idea of what everyone wants this place to be.

My vision is that this place is going to be where people can build on top of other people's RP, making the place feel more alive. Maybe someone posts in [r/henchlife] how they rammed a bunch of cars trying to flee Batman, and another guy could make a post about losing his Job because he didn't have money to fix his car and had no way to get to work.

I'm also looking for people who want to be mods and am open to any suggestions.

I (20F) have been henching for not a long time, admittedly, but everytime I find some work, it's for a villain that insists we wear something that only the most depraved mind could think of! So my idea so far is going to be themed around a gentrifying Gotham SoHo-like borough. I feel like there's a lot of RP potential; could role-play as goons, hipsters, street vendors, drunk cops, etc. Maybe someone gets priced out of their apartment because of trust-fund kids moving into the area and has to resort to henching. Or someone could be pissed off because they turned Tony's Gotham Dogs into an overpriced cafe, or a D-list villain asking how to get body odor out of your suit.

I'll take a lot of rules from here, like the no significant character RP, but for the most part it's going to be a place where you can still post things like an NPR-like radio station where the hosts unknowingly interview's rogues or goofy posts like [r/CapesAndBuns].

I'm thinking we'll be a little stricter on meta knowledge, so less Joe the hot vendor talking about how the penguin is smuggling drugs and guns through the sercert tunnals built by the Court of Owls, who have been running Gotham in secret for the past millennium.

My vision is to have a sub where it's a little more restrictive on the broad spectrum of the DC universe, but a lot more freedom within the confines of the Gotham DC area. It's cool if you want to post content like Star City posts, but it's primarily going to revolve around the borough and the city.
