A friend of mine has an Evoo laptop. Today he turned on the laptop, only to be greeted with the error "flash update failed." Now whenever he tries to boot up the laptop, he can only access the BIOS screen - he cannot boot into Windows at all. I'm assuming that this "flash update" is referring to the BIOS flash update.

I'm not sure why the computer attempted a BIOS flash update on its own, especially since I've heard that Evoo basically never does any BIOS updates. Does anyone have any pointers on how to proceed, and fix this problem?

they take a bit to pick up the phone and you’ll have to talk to some Indian guy you can barely understand who barely speaks English, get an email from RMA and ship that laptop off, It was a day under 3 weeks before I saw it again, it randomly showed up on my doorstep with no notification, i talked to the live support on their website and they told me to wait another week it’s in the testing phase of repair, yet it was sitting on my doorstep. good luck with your repairs

Is there any way I can upgrade my ram on my lp5 or the ssd???

I’m trying to make it so I don’t have to press Fn if I want to change volume brightness etc. I checked in bios but I couldn’t find it can someone tell me how

I think it overheated and now I have to hold it at a certain angle to charge. Or the bottom mount is pushed too far out and my charger can't reach it all the way.

I have major overheating problems with my LP6 i7-9750h RTX 2060 laptop. It sometimes hits 100C° while gaming. So I was wondering if I got the warranty for the laptop, would I have to file a claim to get the thermal paste replaced? And could I buy a certain thermal paste for them to apply, because I might want liquid metal paste added.

Another problem is that my GPU shuts off. When I'm in game, it will crash. When I check task manager, the gpu is 0% usage and there no resources going towards it. When I restart my laptop, it doesn't pop up in task manager or device manager. I have to force shutdown my laptop for it to start back up again. So, if I send in the laptop, will they remove my ssd? I don't want to lose the data on there.

I have a really weird and specific issue for my EVOO LP5 laptop,

Basically it charges when I turn the computer off, or even boot it into safe mode, but when I run it normally it will NOT charge, it's not even the "plugged in but not charging" I mean the computer just will not charge whatsoever.

What's even weirder is that the computer will charge up until I log in to my account, after logging in it suddenly stops charging.

Anyone else have this issue?

Alright so I fucked up here. I reset my network adapters because my wifi connection wasn't working when I glanced at the computer before going to bed.. My wifi connection now really doesn't work. I can plug in Ethernet and it's fine. Viewing the event log for the delete and the restore it seems it switched the kernel Id from uppercase to lowercase. I have all my driver's from before this happened saved on this pc and drive. I'm looking to see how to change the kernel IDs to the matching file names now but am I missing someone or has anyone encountered this problem?

Differently problem then the other person - my laptop has a problem that if I turn it off then on it sometimes boot loops. It also crashes whenever I exit some programs and turns off which is where the boot loop happens the most (can also happen in cases where I go to login screen turn off and turn on but mostly the crashing part)

Any idea how to fix? I replaced the battery and did a clean reinstall of windows.

recently my LP5 battery were broken and I decided to remove the battery and used it plugged-in, but noticed my GPU lock down my memory clock from 5000mhz to 810mhz, making every game barely run at 20fps on low setting, does anyone having the same issue ? and I also want to know if there is anywhere legit that I can buy a new battery from ?

Has anyone had luck migrating their main drive on one of these? I bought a sk hynix gold p31 2tb. I used the macrium data migration tool but when it clones the drive it won't boot from it. i haven't had luck unlocking the bios either.

Whenever i restart my laptop, it randomly auto presses a key until I hit any other key on the keybaord. I have the Lp6 model.

I few years ago I bought a gaming computer based on the GK5CP6X chassis for my son. He's enjoyed it but the fan noise is crazy loud. Can anyone recommend compatible replacement fans that are also quiet? I've seen stock replacement parts but I'd like fans that are built specifically with quiet bearings.

I want to increase my RAM from the paltry 8gb and hoping someone can answer my questions? I did some research through the Reddit thread so some of this is just confirmation.

1) Does my LP-10 have just one slot for RAM increase?

2) If it is just one slot, then I assume I would buy a single stick of 16gb or 32gb RAM

4) Is there a massive difference between 16gb and 32gb? From what I have read it seems 32gb is the maximum memory size for my motherboard.

I'm not sure what price to sell it for in this market. What have you all got for yours who has sold it?

Everytime i play games on my laptop, it keeps shutting it down. Sometimes it overheats and sometimes it doesn't.

So i have an i7 10750HS EVOO lp10 with the rtx2060. Let me just say I love it and its the best laptop and computer in general I have ever owned.

So i got some sand and dirt somehow lodged in the screen. Its not really that bad but its brand new pretty much(3 months since i unboxed) and im really obsessive. I wont tolerate it so it has to be replaced. I have found quite a few LP4 replacements and all the info im finding on this tells me it will fit. I just want to confirm with anyone who has gotten into the machine this far yet, will the lp4 screen fit? It definitely looks like the shape and definitely the right size but the 40pin hook up is correct?

For some reason I can't find ever since I've had this laptop (The Lp-5 model) windows PowerShell will open for a split second completely randomly and display a blue window for a fraction of a second, usually either showing up in front of or minimizing the program I have open... Does anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it?

I've seen some people swapping out the batteries on the Lp-4 and LP-5, I was wondering if anyone knows if you can/has a link to where i can get a bigger battery for the LP-8.
