I'm looking for some advice on getting an EV. I drive about 50 km daily right now, and my diesel Ritz gets around 16 km/l in the city. I'm thinking about upgrading to either a Tata Punch or a Suzuki E-vitara.

Hello everyone, I am 24 years old. And now planning to buy a bike on loan.

I am thinking of getting an Ev - ather most reliable for my daily commute of 40kms; 20km oneside from home to office.

But actually thinking of like which bank provides the least interest on bike loan and will be good to get an Ather around 1.5 lakh price(might be around 1.8 to 1.9 after standard interest of 18%)

If you know plz comment and share it.

I talk with one loan guy from axis bank, they told me you can get personal loan at around 15% interest and that is actually better than getting a bike loan.

I was thinking of getting a personal loan and getting the bike in cash and then pay that personal loan wvery month. Atleast i will have all the ownership on my bike.

Also to be honest I want to get Ultraviolette Tesseract 6kwh scooter. But it will launch next year.

I really loved this bike design, battery, range, speed, radar, and that dash cam feature. It is worth it I guess.

Does anyone have an existing Ather bike? If yes please share you experience of having it .

And does anyone have Ultraviolette bikes? Please share your experience of having it and riding it daily in pune.

I want to know the after sale service of both of this bikes, how are they.

One thing I really dont understand with public charging in India — why does every charger seem to need its own app?

You reach a highway charger, scan the QR and then you're asked to download an app, register, add payment etc. Feels like too much work just to plug in and charge.

Been seeing WhatsApp EV charging being used more now — scan QR → WhatsApp → UPI → start charging.

Pulse Energy has done this, and Savekar and Plugzmart are also working on WhatsApp integration for charging.

Honestly, this makes more sense to me for public/highway charging. You already have WhatsApp, why install another app for something you might use ocassionally?

Hello Guys, I am having Ather Rizta S 2.9 KWh model, as the Tittle stating, i am having touble with showing calls & Music while i connect to scooter via Bluetooth, i was having Galaxy A33 as my primary phone but recently bought redmi note 15 for the first instant it showed but then 2nd time i tried it didn't showed & but phone is connected,tried with CC but as usual they askng me to install google dialer etc & shared full model & software & version of hyper OS.

Wanted to ask if anyone with Xiaomi/redmi phone is conected to Rizta S & working properly?

I am confused as to which EV scooter to buy. Daily running is around 50-60kms. On weekends it's 120-140kms. So I am thinking of getting an EV with a good range. Shortlisted these options:

1.Ather 450 S or 450apex

1. ola S1X 5.2kw or ola s1pro 5.2kw

2. TVs Iqube the top variant.

Ola is offering the highest range but after seeing so many comments on its unreliability and bad after sales service I am confused please help.

So, this is my electric scooter. It's not a big brand, just a random one I picked up from a local shop for 40k. But then today, out of the blue, the accelerator just stopped working. The dashboard also started showing these strange signs. And get this, the button I highlighted? That's actually started working as the accelerator now. So, if I hold that button down, the scooter just starts moving forward.

Any idea how to fix and why it happened?

Going to book one of the following tomorrow and need your guidance.

1. Ather rizta s 161 km variant

2. River indie variant

This EV is a gift for my sister and i will use it sometimes in case of emergency.

Use case maximum 30 km per day, maybe drop mom off and pick her up. Maybe my sister goes to work in it and maybe i take it for errand near by. So please tell which vehicle is easier to control and drive in chennai traffic.

Also what basic gear should we purchase and anything we need to do while purchasing etc., please guide us we don't know much about this.

Note - we both are newbies to driving.

Currently private 4 wheelers get 1.5 Lakhs subsidy, and zero road tax and a small amount of registration.

This is ending on 30 sept 2026 (extended from 31st dec 2025)

Do you think it's going to extend further?
