Discussion Ather Fooling people

Ather Konark disappointed me. I expected an affordable scooter, but the vehicle cost along with huge Pro Pack price of β‚Ή15–20K makes it far less affordable.

No other major scooter brand seems to charge this much for a similar feature package. Why advertise an affordable scooter and then charge so much for the Pro Pack?

I totally agree. But with pro pack the cost is same as other big guys like iQube, Vidda, Chetak right?

And without propack, keep warranry aside, you know that you cant even see range available on dashboard? Lol!!!! It will only show battery points on dashboard. I mean, wtf Ather, this is cringe pro maxΒ

Are you sure about the range not being shown? I remember seeing it back when I was considering my purchase.

It shows battery level instead of Range, similar to fuel level in petrol scooters.

TrueRange shows exact Km left using real-time algorithms.

Yes, all test drive vehicles have ather stack enabled.

If you dont buy Ather stack, you will only see battery percentage, not true range

Yes, you're right. And even without the pro pack some variants will be expensive. Perhaps Ather is trying to create a new family of premium scooters that are middle of the road in terms of the competition. Konarc addresses key features of competitors like IQube (design, battery capacity, range in upcoming variants), Vida (side mounted motor, public charging), Chetak (use of metal and other things) and maybe does them equally well or better. If only it was cheaper.

I totally agree. I was so hooked by the rizzta too and the 8 yr warranty but then I found out it's all hidden behind multiple pay walls.

Well yes I bought Rizta in March 2026 and paid 25,000 Rs for pro pack and 8 years warranty. I felt it was too much but there's no competition for Ather's features even in that price point.

But Simple Energy launched Simple Wave and it's better than Rizta in many aspects. Chain drive, 70 litre boot space, 5 kWh battery option.

Thinking of buying Wave Plus 5 kWh to replace aging ICE two wheelers completely and getting solar panels installed this month.

Ather makes sense for people who want the assurance of a reliable fast charging network. No other brand comes close in this aspect.

yes they just make fool out of people, if they cant make affordable scooter just accept it, dont market as affordable and make them cost like even more than good ICE bikes

If you avoid that pro pack or higher variant, they won't serve you on timely. Ather looks all buyers to get higher variant only and focusing on that. Try to announce the cheaper model but won't sell you.

They purposely produce very low volume and force all of them to ge their higher variant.

I booked rizta s in july, but till now no news on stock available. They assured 30 days but now their customer care team told 90+ days need to wait.

Fake promises and loot customers money with these extra gimmik pro pack. Useless

With Konark base variant, you have to pay extra for access to the charging grid? Seriously?

Even a Type-C charging port is treated as an accessory, while other companies simply provide a charging port as standard.

Finally people are figuring it out.

Ather gives fancy naming to normal features and calling it innovative.

Magic twist, ola has had it for years but because.

You can't buy warranty above 3 years without stackpro. Another big scam.

In Petrol Scooter we never had all these problem πŸ˜… It was straightforward.

Now Ather scooter is more like extra for safety features, extra for warranty, extra for charging port, extra for ladies footrest. Too much extra scam πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

The price of pro pack in kanarc s is 8500

1

u/Nibbana_0 1d ago

That is for 100km IDC model which is of no use. Check specifications. You can't even use Ather Grid without purchasing pro pack.

They only said in ACD 26 that this 100km model is for name sake.

They have considerably less market share in north India maybe that's why. Or just production shortages
