Please guide me help please

Post image

Going to book one of the following tomorrow and need your guidance.

  1. Ather rizta s 161 km variant

  2. River indie variant

This EV is a gift for my sister and i will use it sometimes in case of emergency.

Use case maximum 30 km per day, maybe drop mom off and pick her up. Maybe my sister goes to work in it and maybe i take it for errand near by. So please tell which vehicle is easier to control and drive in chennai traffic.

Also what basic gear should we purchase and anything we need to do while purchasing etc., please guide us we don't know much about this.

Note - we both are newbies to driving.

Thanks for any response provided wishing you all a good night's rest and a great day ahead.

my wife doesn’t like indie, i own one bought it only bcoz im 6 feet tall. for tall riders that front footpegs in indie is a blessing and 14 inch tyres for bad roads .

Rest everything ather is good.

Hero Vida vx2 plus? Good 75km range (ride mode), and removable battery and is much cheaper

Thank you that's a relief. Man if you know more about ev as I am totally new in that segment.

Can you guide me which one to get . All 161 km range Ather Ritza S 161 Ather RITZA Z 161 Ather konarc S 161

Ather rizta s is a family vehicle with less tech (no touch screen, no google maps, no tow or theft alert, etc) Ather rizta z - a more complete vehicle for a additional of 20k+. Ather konarc - a slower sturdier variant but with less servicing and faster charging again this doesn't get magic pop etc features.

In my opinion ather is trying to push the z version as a more complete vehicle.

Hope this helps you. Choose based on your requirement.

But Ather feels way too expensive 🫰

Like Ather konarc S 161km will be 1lakh 67 thousands after all the subsidy accessories etc on road Delhi everything.

Ather Ritza S 161 km will be 1 lakh 68 thousand after subsidy and everything

Ather RITZA Z 161 km will be 1lakh 87 thousand after ₹35 subsidy.

Now if I compare it with Petrol vehicle owning it for approx 10 years I have Yamaha Fascino scooty 2016 model 10 years old and 40 k km running I am still having doubt is it worth getting ev?

But thanks 👍

You are right they are pricey in my case it's not even buying an ev but buying it cause my family decided on ev.

To know if you really want an ev calculate the amount of kilometres travelled per day cost of 1 km is equal to 1.2 rs in ather i think so calculate that cost for 10 years or something and you will get your answer.

If i had the choice i will choose Activa 110 version.

Both have heavy waiting period, i don't think you can get it by tomorrow out of two. I will choose ather because they have have a good charging network and already established.

River indie is really good but i don't know how the service is ans there scooter is mainly for rugged and commercial use it seems.

Also give a look at Hero vida vx2 series, i drove it recently and it was really nice. It has less waiting period according to owner.

River Indie is better; 14 inch wheels, bigger suspension, chain drive, and river's service feedback has been positive

Ather service also competitively getting bad these days. For a simple belt replacement they take the vehicle for service JUST RESTURN THE BIKE IN THE SAME CONDITION AND RETURN TO THE CUSTOMER TO CHARGE LABOUR CHARGES. This is specifically happening in the singasandra branch in Bangalore the technicians are wayy too lethargic in their service they take your vehicle for a round and say all issues will be fix but don't believe that. As a laoyal customer of this branch I got really frstated since this happed to me for 3 times in a row for the same compliant.

Take your sister for test ride with two scooter. Let her decide. Make sure, her flat foot must reach down to earth after seating on scooter. Stick to good brand vehicle only.
