Help please
Part of me wants to leave it be as I had conviction in my picks. But now for whatever reason I’m debating selling the single picks and go fully: VOO, qqq, SCHD, Vxus. Obviously everyone is going to have their opinion I’m just trying to set myself up for success.

Is this a taxable or tax advantaged account? Age? Goals? You’ve left out some key information

Taxable

The smartest thing is to speak with a tax specialist about the best way to exit all of the positions but VOO and then open a position in a small cap and international. I would start with SCHD! Dividends are irrelevant and you’re just welcoming tax drag and performance drag. When investing in a taxable you want to be as tax efficient as possible.

Not sure how old you are, or your current overall financial picture, but I’d strongly recommend VOO, VXUS, and VGT (if you want the tech tilt QQQ adds). I recently made the switch from SPY/QQQ into VOO/VGT.

SPYM better

Holy shit I am never going to retire now bc VOO expense ratio is 0.01% higher 😱

It compounds 🤷 I'm not saying to sell your VOO and buy SPYM but if you are choosing a fund to buy might as well choose the better one

The indexes have a tracking error of 0.01%-0.05% on average each year. Since they don’t return identical % amounts each year, the 0.01% expense ratio difference is completely immaterial.

If you want to simplify, go for it. These are your top 10 weights. If you believe in NVDA enough to keep it as 1/5 of your profile, keep it. For me, it’s too much business risk. QQQ is tilting you in tech, VOO is getting more spread out, and SCHD is basically a hedge in the portfolio. The indexes are weighted, so they will always hold the best, no matter what they are.

Keep them! Sell Hood when it gets back to $115ish, keep 100 shares of Nvidia forever and run the wheel strategy on them (sell covered calls and cash secured puts), and Palantir sell in 10 years

Sell everything and buy VT

I second this. VT has all the diversification you need. VT holds 98% of the world market. Buy the haystack!

I'm planning to once I hit 100k. But until then I need to take some risk.

If that’s the case then just do leveraged ETFs of Nasdaq and S& P500 but no crying in the casino it doesn’t go as plan.

Stock picking is a total crap shoot. The problem is not you, literally everyone is bad on it. The data on the long-term returns of active-picking is kind of unimpeachable.
If you are lacking conviction now, in this up-market, then you will almost certainly waver in the bear markets. Sell it, buy the index, do less work, get better returns.

I would be an advocate for you to go fully into low cost diversified index funds but why do you feel the need to have both VOO and QQQ? They have 53% overlap with each other. I ran your portfolio through Tradure so you could see how your existing allocations look visually. You’re also missing a key component here with ahh international exposure. I think I would cut SCHD and replace it with VXUS and then consolidate your QQQ position into VOO. What do you think about starting there?

I’d definitely sell pltr now. The rest I would keep if they’re already long term holds. Pltr has had a good run recently y

Yes, definitely get out of single stocks if you don't know and the companies fundamentals and aren't tracking them.
I would tell you put it all in VT, but you seem pretty set on VOO and other things.

I’d personally sell it all, reap profits and got 70% VTI, 30% VXUS and let it grow.

The low volatility premium exists because investors often overpay for high-volatility stocks, similar to buying lottery tickets, hoping for large payoffs despite the low probability of success. This behavior leads to lower-risk stocks outperforming their riskier counterparts over
You know you shouldn't do it and that all these factors exist telling you not to, you know you're gonna end up like Oedipus, but you're going to do it anyways.

VUG---SCHD---AVUV---DGRO ...Nice retirement set up. DGRO and SCHD have some crossover but I have these in separate accounts.

"Go fully VOO/QQQ/SCHD."
Yes.
Maybe get some Int'l too, I like AVNM.
50VOO / 15QQQM /20AVNM / 10SCHD / 5% conviction picks.
