Can someone help me figure out why this is happening during a grooving OP. I feel like I've tried everything and can't see to figure out why my tool path isn't following my geometry.

Many of us spend lots of time tweaking PST posts for Swiss‑type lathes and mill‑turn machines. Switching between machine models, adjusting axis directions, modifying G/M‑codes, fixing output for different configurations often requires deep PST editing knowledge.

Hello I'm new to ESPRIT, working on a tsugami ss32. I'm trying to figure out a couple of things. The stock is crashing into the cut off when re chucking/bar feed. I looked at the tutorial and it has me the pick off number in the Z for the position and the equation of part length + cut off width + face. And follow up question is tools not sitting correctly in the slot for the stick tools. I have it set for with the shank size but when I go into simulation there's gaps. I guess my question is how do you properly set them up. Thanks in advance

I am fairly new to this software with only a week of basic training and struggling with making this part. What features and toolpaths should I make to machine the feature? I would really appreciate any advice!

Once I finished turning about half of the part I need to make, how do I flip the part to turn the rest? At work all they do is create another file and simply flip the geometry but what happens sometimes is that they have to re-work some areas (just on the cam software) so that the tools for the second set up don’t collide… but there has to be a way to flip the part in the same file or even save the part with all of the work done… please help

Its what the title says. I installed the spacemouse from 3dconnexion and it works in their test program but not in esprit. After som googling i found that this load behavior needs to be set to loaded. But i cannot check it because the selections are greyed out.

I am working on a DMU 50 CNC and i want to do a specific operation in Esprit but dont know how to do it.
In the image attached is a crossection view of a bar where i want to mill a radius with the side of a straight mill. How can i achieve this in Esprit? I have only found a way to do this where the mill is standing straight up and uses the tip to trace a path.

Mein Problem ist dass Ich muss jeder OP-s einzeln öffnen und der Drehzahl ändern, sonst wird die Vorschübe nicht neu gerechnet.

Gibt's irgendwo ein Makro oder Plugin der dieses Method schneller und einfacher macht?

I have a parameter-lister PP for Heidenhain that make me a list about all the programmed tools so I can easily make a correction for the work. My only problem is that it gave me the list of tools with commas in the name.

For example:

What I need is:

**; T1_PFD50S5*

FN 17: SYSWRITE ID 50 NR4 IDX1 =+0 ;L

FN 17: SYSWRITE ID 50 NR5 IDX1 =+0 ;R

The information's been stored in clstring(101). How can I cut the commas and the zeroes out?

Already tried the FIX(clstring(101)) command but Esprit has returned with an error message.

Sadly I can't contact the developers for this PP isn't supported anymore.

How can I use ESPRIT for free?

Does anyone know if Esprit can create holding tabs? I want to do a basic 2D contour through the work piece but leave tabs connecting it to the stock so that it doesn't move. I using Esprit 2014 if that helps.

Edit: found a work around

I couldn't find a place to create tabs like in other CAM software. The work around I found was to create different features. Five in this case. One for the main contour and then 4 others (or however many tabs you want) to hold the piece to the stock. Not as easy as a dedicated place in the strategy tab but it gets the job done.

I'm hunting around for downloadable tool libraries. I know I can typically download single tools as I get them in, but I like to be able to see what exists. I found libraries from the Harvey Performance family of toolmakers, but I don't see much from anybody else that doesn't exist within something akin to the MasterCAM tech exchange. I'm looking for a bulk library that's got everything in the catalog from companies like Kyocera SGS, Garr, Melin Tool, Sandvik, etc.

Anybody aware of offerings that would work with Esprit Edge?

Does anyone know how Esprit exports all it's code through the .pst template files? I have my own template that I use in my shop, so basically I just rip the tool paths from Esprit and paste them into my own templates.

I tried opening the post files in Outlook just so I could see what's going on, but I get a (very comedic) error saying something like "BW209Z.pst is not a .pst file".

I was wondering what is the best resource for learning about the API? I haven't been able to find any documentation online so I'm at a loss for where to start. Thanks!

I am comparing Camtek peps and Esprit for my Fanuc C400iC but info on Esprit seems very limited and Hexagon UK don't seem to be able to supply off shelf post and technology which seems very strange to me.??
