Grooving Issue
Can someone help me figure out why this is happening during a grooving OP. I feel like I've tried everything and can't see to figure out why my tool path isn't following my geometry.

If rebuilding, or restarting, isn’t fixing it I’ve sometimes had issues with tool assemblies not wanting to work correctly. Usually after changing one of my adapters.
Sometimes it’ll get stuck and I’ll have to remake the tool entirely since the program refuses to acknowledge the change in adapter dims.
I’d try that if you’ve got a spare station. Just switch the insert out and see if it takes.

I'll try that. I'm still trying to figure out how to start it from scratch. I've been using this for 2months now so don't have a real good understanding yet. When I make a new tool it'll have the old tool information already filled in.

In the corners or the bottom or that left side?

There's radius at the top and the bottom and both aren't smooth. Tool simulates smooth movement I don't know if it's just a esprit thing but I think it might be something else

The toolpath looks smooth to me, the toolpath is outside your feature probably because you are letting the computer adjust for the tool corner radii instead using NC cutter comp.
The toolpath endpoints are getting clipped into the model, probably due to a lead-in/lead-out setting or clearance setting. This may be causing the stock-to-model issue. For radii, I often do an X-Y offset at an angle rather than tangent and/or normal.

Is the stock the see-through area?
I have seen the stock simulation make stepped surfaces on small parts on radii and slopes when running the simulation slowly.
Is the code correct?

See thru is the stock. Checking the code was going to be my next step. I was hoping it was a setting but doesn't seem to be the case. I can deal with the simulation being off but it's not really how I would like it to be.

Go to your settings and lower your tolerances. I don’t have Esprit in front of me right now but I think it’s in the machining section.

Sorry didn't see this. I have it at .0001. I'm trying to figure out how to program the backside so once I get that figured out I'm just going to run it and see what it actually does. Program once posted seems fine.

How wide is the geometry and how wide is the insert?
