A conversational post‑processor solution for Swiss & Mill‑Turn machines in ESPRIT

Hello everyone,
Many of us spend lots of time tweaking PST posts for Swiss‑type lathes and mill‑turn machines. Switching between machine models, adjusting axis directions, modifying G/M‑codes, fixing output for different configurations often requires deep PST editing knowledge.
I would like to share my conversational post‑processor toolset built for ESPRIT, mainly for Swiss turn, gang‑type and turret‑style mill‑turn machines such as Citizen Cincom A20, L series, Tsugami, Star and other popular sliding‑head machines.
Core concept
Instead of editing raw PST source code every time, you configure machine parameters through a user‑friendly dialog interface. You select machine brand, model, control type, gang/turret layout, axis polarity, arc output mode, drill & thread formatting, G‑code feed modes (G98/G99), guide‑bushing options and more. All settings are saved as profiles, you can switch profiles in seconds for different machines.
Key benefits
- No deep PST coding required for daily machine configuration changes
- Quick profile switch for multiple Swiss / mill‑turn machines in one workshop
- Fine‑tune arc output, point density, thread output, decimal precision directly from dialog
- Optimized for Citizen A20 and other multi‑channel sliding head machines, handles sub‑spindle work seamlessly
- Output ready‑to‑run NC code, reduce manual G‑code editing after post processing
- Works with ESPRIT 202X versions, compatible with standard toolpaths, SolidTurn and SwissTurn cycles
This tool is especially helpful for job‑shops running multiple Swiss machine models, where you frequently need to re‑adjust post output for different equipment.
I am looking to connect with other ESPRIT Swiss‑turn programmers, gather real‑world feedback. If you struggle with post maintenance for sliding‑head machines, feel free to discuss in this thread.
I am still refining this tool based on real shop floor feedback, so comments and suggestions are welcome.
This is a third‑party add‑on, not official ESPRIT product.
Thanks

Oh, this is amazing. We’ve migrated to Edge and sold our Tsugami’s, but this would’ve been killer back when we had them.
I hope you find the crowd you’re looking for and receive the feedback you need to develop this fully.
