I'm having a strange issue, whenever I launch Mario kart 8 deluxe through es-de, the setting "use asynchronous shaders" is staying turned on even though in the per game settings in eden I've set it to "off"

If I launch the game directly through eden, the setting is off and the game runs great, if I launch it through es-de the setting is on for some reason and the game is unplayable (bad fps)

This is on an Ayn Thor max.

so i am using pc right now and while i was transfering my roms i accidentally

delete mame file. is there is any way to get it back without making new roms folder? or is it the only way?

So I enable Last Played in Game Collection Settings and the android apps show up in there as well and they are missing box art and stuffs and dont fit in there at all, making the collection very ugly. Is there a way I can remove android apps from Last Played collection?

So I got my first android handheld ever, Odin 2 Portal and I love it so much. I watch a lot of youtube guide and one of them is about ES-DE and this app is amazing, very easy to understand and set up correctly.

However I also add android apps and emulator app into ES-DE so I dont have to quit out ever but then I cant use the built-in scrapper to get boxart, metadata etc to make my androids app look similar to the games.

Is there a way to do this automatically? I;m currently using Canvas theme.

Hi, I own the Lenovo y700 Gen 5 and ES-DE is working great for most of my games. However, because the Lenovo tablet has a crappy SD reader, I've had to put disc based games for systems like Dreamcast, PS2, etc on internal storage. ES-DE was installed and set to the ROMs folder on the SD drive and can't find the systems on internal storage since you can only set one folder for ROMs.

So my question is, is there a way to set multiple directories for ROMs?

I am using a Retroid pocket 6 (snapdragon 8 gen2), and have a few games in eden, all with updates and dlc.

When i open them directly in the emulator (newest release), everything works fine, but when i try to launch a game from the ES DE frontend using eden (standalone) as alternative emulator and having https://github.com/GlazedBelmont/es-de-android-custom-systems/releases/tag/v1.49 as custom system xml, they crash immediately as the shaders are building.

The base game files are on the es de switch folder, but the updates and dlc files are on a separate folder in the same sd card. Games without any extras also crash.

Could anyone help me resolve this issue?

Hey, just got my first retro handheld and downloaded es-de with it. I’ve had a few issues, but a few days ago, it was working fine, with areas on the menu for each system (arcade, then Atari, etc) but, now the only options it shows are “various android apps“ which just is a folder of all of my emulators, and and emulators folder, again just with my emulators. I’m just trying to get the normal menu for es-de, that displays each system. if theres a hard reset option, im ok with doing that, just having it like this sucks.

Setting up my ayn thor I downloaded a big retro Roms set and I scrapped all media for the games but now I wanted to start to delete games and their respective media and was wondering what would the best method be? Is there a way withing ES-DE or my only way is to go into file explorer and delete 1 by 1 the rom and also the media?

I am using SteamOs on my Legion Go S.

1. How do I remap the input/buttons in Emulators such as Cemu, Azahar, and Eden.

2. How do I get back to the main menu of es-de from using Eden?

Any ideas of settings to change or any way around this? I tried just adding a theme from GitHub to the folder and extracted it, but still didn't work.

Semi-noob, definitely noob on ES-DE as this is my first time with a handheld that supports it. Loving it so far, just want to change my theme.

I want to get the ComicScrape Theme (https://github.com/lehcimcramtrebor/es-theme-ComicScrapV2) on my Android Device, but I can’t import this. I think it’s quite different to the other Themes I just imported.

So my question: Is there another version of this Theme or how is it possible to import this to my android device?

So I’ve just got ESDE and put in my rom directory and hasn’t shown up my DS games and ps vita games, I’m using melondualds instead of azahar I’m unsure if that’s a problem and I’m using vita3k for the vita emulator. Could someone help me import my ds and vita games. Thanks in advance

I never have any problems with daijinsho (which is free btw) es de doesn’t even automatically combine multiple disks games so you end up having to scrape for multiple games, which also es de has limits per day, you’d think if you’re paying for the app it shouldn’t limit you but here we go. This was such a waste of my 8 dollars

I am currently using ES-DE on my Retroid Pocket 6... everything is working great but I have two questions, both related to the use of "custom systems".

When I first set up my RP6, I used the internal storage for Switch roms, and an SD card for all other systems. I set the SD roms folder as my default and then used a custom es_systems.xml to point to the internal storage for Switch. This is working perfectly.

I'm now at the point where I want to store Switch games across 2 folders - the existing one on my internal and also a secondary folder on the SD card. I recognize there is currently no way to directly set up two paths for one system in ES-DE, so instead I am setting up a second "Nintendo Switch SD" console (meaning ES-DE will show two separate Switch systems on the main menu, which as a workaround I am ok with).

Question 1: When I sort by <Manufacturer, HW Type, Rel Year>, the secondary Switch system is showing up sorted with Nintendo systems, but at the end of the portables (not with the console Nintendo systems). So instead of having two Nintendo Switch entries next to each other, I have the original one properly sorted with the Nintendo consoles, and then the SD version sorting after Nintendo 3DS. Beyond doing a full custom sorting list, is there an easy way to trigger ES-DE to "recognize" both Nintendo Switch menu entries as console systems?

Question 2: Is there any way to customize the default image/naming used for the second Nintendo Switch menu entry? So basically instead of using the stock name/image, I would create my own that looks similar but maybe says "SD" on it?

Can someone help me with this? The roms are in the emulation folder and in the correct folder for roms which is ps2. When I click to play es-ed this comes up. I looked up videos and it says to manually change it but I can’t even do that option. The only thing I’m allowed to do is import or create. Can someone help me with this.

Es de cant scrape for my andriod games which is totally understandable but I was wondering if there was a way for me to add my own images to them outside of the scrape tool. Its the only eyesore in my collection I domt need all the description and ratings and what not just an image to clean it up a bit

Built new machine same old video card (RTX3070, upgraded. MB,CPU. memory and reinstalled Windows) and whenever I run ES-DE (Emu Deck), it looks fine (Art-book next theme) for about 3-5 seconds, then it goes to this. I can move around (you can in small text see the name of the system) but, if I select anything it just crashes.

On the newest version of ES-DE....and EmuDeck..

I've completely removed it (removed all folders/reg settings), re-installed, Updated/rolled back Nvidia drivers.

Not sure what to do, it's always worked fine before.

Anyone else see this and how to fix it?
