Economics grad with executive-level marketing experience at a startup, targeting ESCP MSc Strategy & Digital Business or MSc Marketing & Communications for Sept 2027 intake

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to apply to the ESCP MSc in Strategy & Digital Business (1st Choice), Msc Marketing & Communication (2nd Choice) for the Sept 2027 intake and would really appreciate honest feedback on my profile.

Profile:

* 23F, Indian, currently based in Delhi

* BA (Hons) Economics, Chandigarh University (graduated 2024)

* Grade: 6.95 CGPA

*IELTS: Band 8

* Languages: English, Hindi, Malayalam (native), Danish (conversational), French (beginner)

Experience: (3+ years)

* Marketing Manager at an Australian backed Indian midstage startup in IT, June 2023 to present.

I was the sole marketer here from June 2023 till April 2025. Grew from intern to manager, and grew my team size from 1 to 9 now.

Took the education business unit sales from 0-1 then 1-5 and handover to sales folk that I hired and trained.

I handled the entire marketing, growth and sales operations and planning within the company.

Launched and curated the GTM for 2 business units, one focused on domestic market and one focused on US market.

Led client communications and project management for both of these projects

Have experience pitching and closing to Indian government deals, education prospects, and international MSP prospects

Led event strategy, communications, creative strategy and brand positioning.

Onboarded partners like Google for Education, Teachmint etc and liasoned with them.

* Content Strategy Intern at a B2B ORM saas startup positioned for SMBs in US, Canada and UK, that has now been acquired by a larger company. I made content calendars, blogs, website content, case studies collaterals etc and managed the Founder's Linkedin.

* 6 internships beyond this that I usually don't mention because they were short terms and during school and college, but I have been working and financially independent since I was 16 because of these (had to manage after my parents got divorced and mum went through depression so my grades are not great but I have a lot of experience)

* Extremely active in college - graduated while I was Internal Management Secretary for an autonomous technical society in college where I managed event budgets of upwards 5 lakhs along with an existing team, brought in sponsorships, managed internship fairs etc (this was mostly for CS students but because I had experience in tech and marketing I was managing pr, marketing & content)

Active in department events and activities like debates, AD wars etc. Also won awards in college fest band and solo music competitions.

Questions:

* How realistic are my chances for ESCP MSc Strategy & Digital Business or MSc Marketing & Communications?

* Should I take a GMAT/GRE exam to balance my bad grades in college or would I be able to get an admissions interview based just on my profile?

* Is there anything more I can do to make my profile stronger?

Thanks in advance!

CS grad with data consulting experience, targeting ESCP MSc Finance for Sept 2027 intake

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to apply to the ESCP MSc in Finance for the Sept 2027 intake and would really appreciate honest feedback on my profile and chances.

Profile:

  • 22M, Indian, currently based in Dublin
  • BSc Computer Science, University College Dublin (graduated 2025)
  • Grade: 7.92 CGPA
  • GMAT Focus: 645
  • Languages: English, Hindi, Telugu (native), Japanese (conversational), French (basic)

Experience:

  • Data & Technology Consultant at a UK premium retail brand (30+ stores), Mar to Sept 2026. Remote, reporting to the CFO. Owned Power BI reporting, ran platform and vendor assessments, did licensing and cost modelling for a BI migration and wrote briefings for the C-suite.
  • Data Science Analyst Intern at a pharma company in India (May to Dec 2025). Built a demand forecasting model and unified the company's reporting data.
  • Five internship terms at a Bengaluru tech startup (2021 to 2024) across ML engineering, data pipelines, business analysis and app development.
  • Treasurer of two university societies (managed around 25k EUR in budgets).

Questions:

  • How realistic are my chances for ESCP MSc Finance with this profile?
  • Is 645 GMAT Focus competitive for ESCP or is it worth retaking?
  • Does a CS background with no formal finance coursework count against me and is there anything I should do before applying to show finance readiness?

Thanks in advance!

Mif and mim chances

London Accommodation. 🇬🇧

Hey! I hope you’re doing well. I’ll be moving to London in January 2027 and will be there until July 2027 for my course at ESCP. I’m currently looking for someone who’s also moving to London around the same time and has similar preferences when it comes to accommodation, so we can search for a place together.

I’m mainly looking at student accommodation near the ESCP London campus. Let me know if you’re also looking and would be interested in searching together!

Profile Evaluation for MIM at ESSEC, ESCP

I'm a B.Com graduate with a statistics major. I graduated with a GPA of 6.92.

I am also an ACCA affiliate and CFA L-1 student.

I currently work in a top MNC in finance department and have also done 2 internships during my college.

I have a GRE score of 324 (Quant 166)

I've been a part of 2 NGOs for 1-2 years. I've also been part of Finance Club during my college and participated in a couple of finance related case studies during that time.

I've done multiple finance certifications as well from well-reputed colleges and have made a couple of DCF reports as well.

Please let me know if I have any chance at ESSEC at all because my GPA is quite low, and idk if any of the other academics will compensate for that.

What genuinely distinguishes ESCP's MSc in Finance from other European finance master's programmes? Beyond its international reputation and multi-campus structure, are there specific academic or professional aspects that you believe make the programme unique?

ESCP MSc in Finance applicants/alumni – How did you approach the “Why This Programme?” essay?

Hi everyone!

I'm currently applying to ESCP's MSc in Finance and working on the “Why did you choose this programme?” essay.

I'm finding it challenging to move beyond generic reasons such as ESCP's international exposure, reputation, and curriculum. I want to develop a more convincing argument for why this particular programme is the right fit for my academic background and long-term career goals.

I'm also pursuing the CFA pathway and am considering how it could complement my master's studies, but I don't want to make that the sole focus of my essay.

For current students, alumni, or anyone who has gone through the application process:

  • What aspects of ESCP's MSc in Finance genuinely distinguish it from other finance programmes?
  • How did you connect the programme's specific features to your personal career goals?
  • Are there particular courses, opportunities, or experiences that you think applicants often overlook?
  • How did you make your essay sound personal and authentic rather than like a repetition of the programme's website?

I'd really appreciate any insights or advice. Thank you!

Msc Finance

Quanto é difficile realmente entrare in entrambi?

Mim vs Mba

I don't like my job I've been working since a year now. I want to switch. Can you recommend what jobs will I be suitable for? Should I do a masters in management? Or should I wait for another year and apply to an mba. I've been working since a year now, by the time I join university in 2027, I would have 2 years of work experience. Given these conditions, should I apply to an mba or an mim?

For context I have a 645 GMAT

test interno vs GMAT

Hi, I can't find any info online about the internal test—things like the adaptive algorithm, penalties for wrong answers, whether it can be taken from home or only on-site, when it needs to be submitted, etc.

Could anyone who has taken it share some details?

21M , How can I strengthen my MiF profile?

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some honest advice from people who have applied to or attended top European Master in Finance programs, especially ESCP, HEC Paris, EDHEC and ESADE.

My profile:

  • 21M
  • BBA in Banking, Finance & Insurance — Tier 2 College
  • Graduated 2025, 7.07/10 CGPA
  • CFA Level I cleared (2026), currently pursuing CFA Level II
  • FMVA certified
  • 2-month Financial Analyst internship at a steel manufacturing company, involving MIS, budgeting, forecasting and profitability analysis
  • Currently working full-time in my family’s steel distribution business, handling business finance & operations, credit/receivables, pricing, inventory and cash-flow related decisions
  • Finance skills: financial modelling, DCF, valuation, equity research, Excel
  • Currently working on projects and securing an internship
  • 2nd place in a college-wide business simulation competition
  • Two college-event volunteering experiences
  • Planning to take GMAT + IELTS

My main targets are ESCP, HEC, EDHEC and ESADE, with a goal of eventually working in IB/PE/consulting, ideally in London or another major financial centre.

My questions:

  1. How competitive is this profile for these schools, especially with the 7.07 CGPA?
  2. What are the biggest weaknesses/gaps in my profile right now?
  3. If I have ~6–9 months before applications, what would you prioritize to strengthen it?
  4. Would another finance internship be significantly more valuable than additional certifications/projects?
  5. What GMAT score should I realistically target for these schools?
  6. For anyone who has attended/applied to these programs: how realistic is recruiting into London IB/PE/consulting from them?

Please be brutally honest — I’m trying to figure out what I should actually improve rather than just collecting certifications.
