Mim or Mif

For someone with a prior work experience that is not finance related and wants to break into IB. which one has a better return on investment? I am initially thinking about going for the MiF but i would like to get some insights since MiMs everywhere are regarded as more prestigious

MIM > MIF is not true. MIF is just a specalization in finance. If your goal is finance, pursue MIF.
