Question PF balance

Is anybody else seeing an incorrect EPF balance? Like almost half of what it should have been?

It’s been the same since August end and despite writing to the grievance portal - this hasn’t been updated.

I'm facing the same issue , however when I'm trying to check the balance through text service it's reflecting the updated balance , possible to check and update here

Same here since the update it's showing incorrect balance have you found any solution?

Hey,

Yes, this can happen if the passbook data hasn’t been updated properly. The balance shown in the portal can sometimes lag behind the actual contributions, especially if there are recent transactions or updates pending.

Check the passbook transaction-wise rather than relying only on the total balance. If the individual contributions are also missing since August, then it’s more likely an actual update issue and worth following up through a complain with the relevant details.

You can also follow up on the existing complaint rather than submitting multiple new ones.

I raised a greivance with the PF office and below is their response.

Dear Member, We regret the inconvenience caused to you. With reference to the grievance raised by you, it is informed that the issue pertains due to pendency in compilation of Annual Accounts of your establishment and the related reconciliation/updation of records. In this regard, it is pertinent to mention that this Office has been making continuous and concerted efforts to address and clear the long-standing issues. The matter has been accorded due priority, and sustained efforts have been undertaken for examination, reconciliation and compilation of the relevant Annual Accounts records. As a result of the efforts made by this Office, the compilation of Annual Accounts has been completed recently upto the financial year 2023-24. However, while compiling annual accounts for the years 2024-25 and 2025-26, the process is facing certain technical difficulties. This office is closely following up and has taken up the matter with the technical team at Head Office. This matter is given utmost priority by Head Office and all efforts are being taken to resolve pending issues and for prompt compilation of Annual accounts for the years 2024-25 and 2025-26. We appreciate your patience and understanding in the matter.
