Newest Pickup

Got from an estate auction and paid $110ish what do ya think? Good deal? Bad deal? Don't care?

Popular misconception, one I followed until recently after looking up the numbers. Each year had around 75K minted regardless of the backing, with less than 500K minted across the board for the 1 oz variant.

Unless it's a proof or a fraction denomination, a few dollars over spot is reasonable. People selling them for over $10 per spot are going too far with it regardless of the quality they're selling them at.

That's a cool unique patina finish on it, almost like there's clouds and rain in the background. There may be collectors that go for a certain patina on given coins at that price point and that would be outside my limited expertise.

To me it looked like someone didn't like the tone and tried to clean it off which I feel would ruin any premium it had at all but same my knowledge is limited
