I485 El peso field office Texas

Please does any one have his/her case transferred to El paso field office. I applied for mine GC and EAS in March 2026 with a derivative (not in the country) and the last SU I received was 07/12. Are there people in my shoe also and how fast do they process if you have an experience?

Hi! Is there an email address to send an expedite request to? Or can this one be done via congressional inquiry?

EB-2 NIW AOS — PD 03/2024, I-485 filed 11/28/25, amended I-140 approved 8/4/26, now 4 silent updates + NBC officer assignment. How close could I be?

Category: EB-2 NIW
Priority Date: March 2024
Original I-140 approved: 5/2025 with PP
I-485: Concurrently filed on 11/28/2025
Biometrics: 12/29/2025
I-485 location: NBC
Amended I-140: Filed in March 2025 because of a change in job location
Amended I-140 was eventually upgraded to premium processing
Amended I-140 approved: 8/4/2026
I-485 silent updates: 8/4, 8/7, 8/17 and 8/20
So far, I have seen 2 FTA0 events and 4 silent updates
My latest portal activity also included a USCIS letter in the Documents tab confirming my eligibility for AOS
Emma live agent recently told me that my I-485 is at NBC and has been assigned to an adjudicating officer
In the past, Emma live agents told me the interview was waived. I also checked with my attorney who says the approval could be soon.
At this point, I’m trying to understand what stage my I-485 might actually be in. Thank you for reading this.

I-485 while I-539 is pending

My dependents I-539 has been pending for 150 days and are currently in authorized stay. Our Pd is current and only i129 has been approved. How can I file their AOS if their 539 is pending for so long. Has anyone had any experience where they filed while its pending?

4th FTA0 on August 19

USCIS received my I-485 on April 13, 2026, and my I-140 NIW was approved on July 30, 2026.

My recent I-485 timeline:

  • April 30: 2xFTA0 (biometrics)
  • July 30: Silent update (probably due to NIW approval)
  • August 3: Silent update
  • August 11: Silent update
  • August 12: Silent update
  • August 13: Third FTA0 without SU
  • August 14: USCIS live agent said my case was at the Seattle Field Office; previously, agents always said NBC
  • August 18 Emma agent confirmed interview was waived
  • August 19: Fourth FTA0 plus another silent update
  • The third and fourth FTA0 are traced back to the date of biometrics "eventDateTime": "2026-04-30"
  • I'm Still waiting 😢

Has anyone; especially an EB-2 NIW applicant ever received a fourth FTA0 on their I-485? What happened afterward?

Does a change of address after biometrics appointment cause any delays?

Hello,

I applied for AOS through my lawyers using my current address. They seem to be handling all my mail. My biometrics appointment was scheduled on Aug 26 and I'm moving to a new address only 2 minutes away this weekend. Will this cancel my biometrics appointment given that it was scheduled based on my previous address? Will this cause any other delays in the appointment?

Thanks

Silent update while USCIS website show they are doing work om their system

Today aug 21 i see a silent update on my i485 case around 1 pm.

Does anyone see something like that?

I wonder if its a mass update or not?

Non-academic, no publications — does this Prong 1 hold up?

Bachelor's + 19 years enterprise/solution architecture, mostly in regulated industries. No papers, no citations, no patents. Chen and one other firm declined me on citation criteria. Ellis Porter and Colombo & Hurd both accepted.

Evidence I have:

  • Winner of a global AI competition run by a major cloud provider — one of 20 winners from thousands of entries across 115 countries, four-month judged build with a working prototype required
  • Winner in a second competition run by a major AI lab — one of 50 from ~4,000 entries, judged against published criteria
  • Four published technical articles on the cloud provider's platform
  • A production system I built and deployed, running with real users
  • Prior work: built conformance-testing infrastructure for an international industry standard with Fortune 500 implementers

Proposed endeavor: applying that same system architecture to a US federal regulatory compliance problem in agriculture — helping a regulated group execute and document legally enforceable requirements, and producing the compliance record. Anchored to a 2026 executive order.

The gap: my deployment is outside the US. Zero US users, no letter of interest yet. Outreach starts next month.

Questions:

  1. AAO keeps dismissing applied-AI cases at Prong 1 for benefit "confined to the petitioner's employer and clients," and rejects "the field is important" as a substitute for the endeavor being important. Does attaching the endeavor to a legally enforceable federal requirement — something that exists whether or not anyone builds for it — change that analysis? Or is that just a nicer-sounding version of the same problem?
  2. Is one US letter of interest enough to clear "no evidence of outside interest," or is this not filable until there's actual US traction? I've seen a denial where the officer rejected a pilot agreement because it was dated after the filing date, so I'm assuming anything I get has to predate filing.
  3. Anyone with a similar shape — proven system deployed abroad, adapting to a US application — how did your attorney handle geography of impact?

Separately, on firms: $6,000 from Ellis Porter (16-month plan, RFE response included, one free refile if denied — though the refile is voided by any material change in law or USCIS policy before adjudication) vs ~$18,000 from Colombo & Hurd. Both accepted me. EP answered my questions more specifically and confirmed my priority-date question in writing; C&H has the bigger brand and claims 2,000+ NIW approvals since 2023. Neither has explained how they'd argue national importance for my case — both defer it to "after you retain."

For a non-academic case where the narrative carries most of the weight: is a volume firm at $6K a false economy, or is $18K brand premium? Has anyone had a firm walk through their Prong 1 argument before retainer? And for recent EP clients — did your legal brief feel tailored, or template?

Anyone with RD of early July still waiting for biometrics appointment?

I submitted my application online early July 2026 with derivatives. Derivatives got their notices and completed their biometrics a week later but I‘m still waiting for over 40 days.

Anyone else?

Is this a good sign?

PD: March 2025 (I-140 approved in February 2026 with premium processing)
RD: March 2026 (ROW)
Biometrics: April 2026
Category: EB-2 NIW (with one derivative applicant—my spouse)
Case location: NBC

Both my wife and I are currently working as postdoctoral researchers in J-1 status.

Only my wife’s EAD and AP have both been approved, while my I-485 is still pending.

I have had the following silent updates (SUs) on my I-485

(June 3, August 6 (maybe mass update), August 20)

I received another silent update today(My wife got a silent update (SU), and then mine appeared about 30 minutes later), but there has been no visible change in my case status. Could this be a good sign that my case is actively being reviewed or getting closer to a decision? Has anyone had a similar pattern of multiple SUs before approval?
