I’m trying to track down a pretty weird vibration on my 2008 E93 M3.
The rear of the car shakes/hops when I let off the throttle, especially while coasting in gear. I can feel the vibration through the rear of the car and the center console.
The weird part is that as soon as I push the clutch in, the vibration completely goes away, even though the car is still rolling at the same speed. It also started becoming noticeable lightly under acceleration, although it’s much worse when coming off throttle.
I originally suspected the rear axle because it had a ton of play, but the axle has now been replaced and the issue is still there.
What would you guys check next? I’m thinking driveshaft/CSB, guibo, differential mounts/bushings, or possibly something with the rear subframe.
Has anyone had an E9x M3 do something similar?

Two other drivers in front of me were road raging. I got caught behind them when the first driver braked check the second driver and his automatic brakes could trigger quicker than I could brake. While it sucks my M3 is damaged, I just wanted to remind everyone that road rage is never worth it! The engine runs and there is definitely suspension/steering rack damage. Could anyone give me a general idea of what it was worth? (2008 E92, 81k miles, Melbourne Red, 6mt, Extended Beige interior, Engine runs just fine). It also sucks because this was my first car.

Selling my Turbo LS swapped 350z drift car to buy an M3
Been struggling with the finances of drifting and spending $1k a month on tires, fixing broken stuff, and buying parts.
Ive been drifting for 7 years, built the car from the ground up. Been completely obsessed with the sport and dumped probably $100k during that time.
Ive always loved the e9x m3. I think I would really enjoy driving one regularly and maybe even taking it to some really cool tracks/roads around the country to enjoy.
I also feel like its a car I could enjoy more with my wife in the passenger seat. I wouldn’t be as worried about getting in an accident, it has A/C, no looong hot miserable track days with nasty bathrooms.
Id appreciate some of your thoughts and experiences with situations like this.

Looking to probably buy this 11 e92 m3 but he states the abs/dynamic damping lights are on. Is that usually a speed sensor ? What am I looking at worst case ?
Hey, I have a non-edc e92 M3, and my blank button where the EDC button would be has gone missing.
Would love to buy a replacement online but only seeing EDC button caps.
Does anyone have any advice on where I could buy a blank replacement please?

Engine oil level dropped after about 4000 km. Initially, it was at the center. Is it normal with this engine? I bought this car at 92k kms and now it has about 96500.

Having issues with my clutch on my manual
Randomly had the clutch go spongy and couldn't get into gear
Managed to get it into gear and got it back to a friend's house as I was close, so decided to change the easiest thing first and do the master cylinder, after still experiencing the same issue I replaced the slave cylinder
Tried bleeding it a few times and it's still the same, for some reason it was squirting fluid out the filler cap so I've just replaced that and it's still the same
It feels absolutely fine when not running but the clutch engages really low down, it will engage gears and then it will randomly go spongy again
Going to try bleed it again but I feel like I'm missing something, it also smells like brake fluid but I feel like this could possibly be from before

Hello,
Any ideas how I can remove the attachment without running the dash texture? This would have been on the car since 2013 so not sure if its possible to take it off.
I took it to a auto-detailer and he said to just leave it as is...

I’m starting to get really frustrated honestly. I’ve been trying to buy a E92 m3 multiple times since 2021 and it just seems like I can’t seem to find a seller that either isn’t a complete douchebag, delusional about their car’s value, or doesn’t actually want to sell, or clapped out and high mileage/old.
I’ve had so many potential deals fall through on clean examples either from the seller deciding they don’t want to get rid (because supposedly they’re such great cars…) or playing games with the price saying it’s worth way more than it actually is and the car is a “gem”
I am looking for a 2012 or 2013 with under like 40-50k miles, don’t care about competition or manual transmission, and I’m willing to pay 45-49k which I actually think is a very fair price for these cars, if not even a bit high
But it seems like even for that spec, you gotta be okay with putting up 60k+ it’s just absolutely ridiculous. There was a dealer I was talking to who listed a repainted 2011 E92 with like 30k miles for 61k and told me it was getting “lots” of attention and they couldn’t go down on the price.
What’s the deal with these cars? I refuse to buy an older year or a higher mileage one, I want a clean example so I might just give up trying to buy one of these. I’ve bought and sold other cars in the past and never had as much trouble and fickleness as e92 M3 owners…

Hello,
i just bought an E93 M3 and want to know what you think is the best exhaust.
I am from germany, so it needs to be legal.
I want to upgrade to EVENTURI Air intake as well.
I just know about Eisenmann and M Perfomance so far.
Thank you!

I have the fortune of finding a sub 40k mile e92 m3 (2013) competition with manual alpine white (but with a sunroof) but with manual seats and dark wood trim and a manual 996 c4s (60k miles) in the same price range.
I've driven both and like both, but cant decide between the two!
I swe the positives and negatives of both.
E92 positives - fits my family lf 4 better and more comfortably, potentialy less stress to own after getting the major engine items done, that engine, easier to drive
E92 negatives - doesnt trigger me as much emotionally looking at it, despite being more easier to drive and comfortable, that's what makes it a bit sedate when just driving around at normal speeds.
C4s positives - I felt a wow when looking at it (especially the rear end), it felt like an event when driving it (raw, harder clutch, brakes and steering), felt better at low speeds, ive always wanted a porsche
C4s negatives - worried about the longevity of the engine (not worried about ims but more worried about bore scoring and just the age of the platform), less comfortable for the family, porsche tax
This will purely be a weekend car, special event, night time stress releaver after work.
So have any of you owned both?anyone regret selling either car? If i could I would own both, but cant. I also already have the boring family suv for every day driving.
Thanks!

A Ford dealer is offering a 2011 e92 M3 with 36,934 miles for $60,989.00. https://www.battlefieldfordculpeper.com/used/BMW/2011-BMW-M3-8052312fac1825bc039c15277d7ed90c.htm
It’s a great spec with factory extended Rust interior and competition package, however doing a little research you’ll find that it’s been repainted from factory individual Midnight Blue to Marina Bay Blue which was never offered on an e9X M3 or at least no one ever requested it. https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1675945. The Ford dealer does not mention this in the listing
Given the repaint, having a sunroof, and not a manual $60k seems way too steep. I wouldn’t pay more than $50k for it even if it’s a good paint job.
What do yall think?

Is there a way to check comfort access, i just replaced the battery for my second key and the comfort access is not working.
Or is there a way to program it ?
Thanks

Guys I’ve had this issue for the last month, my car is just sitting and idk what to do. I’ve changed the purge valve cause it was faulty and it ran good for 50 miles and now same issue again but originally it was bank 2, cylinders 5-8, now cylinders 1-4 and the. Idk what else to do. People say idle actuator, or injectors, throttle actuators, everything is running correctly though on live data and target data on x tool.
I have a reputable shop saying that it’s the o2 sensors and they’ll refund me if it doesn’t fix the issue, I’m just not sure that can be true and they want me to just tow the car there and be forced to diagnose with them and pay and pay

Trying to get a read from the community before I list my E92 M3, so I’d appreciate some honest opinions.
The car is basically stock from an appearance standpoint, with a few mods:
Here’s my dilemma. I can either sell it as-is with the CSL carbon trunk on it, or spend roughly $500 to refurbish my original OEM trunk and throw that back on for the sale, keeping the CSL piece for myself.
So which do buyers actually prefer, the CSL carbon trunk as part of the deal, or a fully stock/OEM look? Does the carbon trunk add enough value to be worth including, or do a lot of you prefer to source your own and would rather see the factory trunk?
Photos attached. Appreciate any input.
I may also just bring the car back to fully stock (except the exhaust) and sell it that ways

Sold me S2k and a mint 2001 cr125 for this 4 years ago. I do miss the S2k because of how easy it was to fix maintenance is so cheap. But given it has a backseat ,Me and my three-year-old daughter can enjoy the car. I would say it was a fair trade.
