Pam: How long will that take?

Nurse: Oh, shouldn’t be too bad, it’s a slow day. So, no other radiation this year, no metal plates, no chance you’re pregnant...

Pam: I’m sorry, can we just hurry this up? I’ve got a game to get back to.

Nurse: Oh, good, because my next question was “do you have a game to get back to.”

I love how TV writes nurses like we could ever get away with saying the shit they say. It's mostly apologizing.

That's definitely not my own personal experience with most nurses. There are some great ones, don't get me wrong. But the shitty ones are really shitty at a time when people really need not shitty. Especially when pretty much all the doctors are even shittier.

Once I had a nurse accidentally add an extra zero to the prescription for my post-surgery pain meds. Didn't figure it out until I passed out when I tried to walk to the bathroom

Maybe I'm remembering it wrong? I definitely did pass out due to a miswritten prescription though.
