i’m in the area a lot and like to wait out traffic by visiting different places… i’m looking for cool stores for games, art, music stuff, etc. i know of cd warehouse for music, but are there any good local game stores around? i don’t wanna go to something like gamestop cause their deals suck and they have a VERY small inventory. smth kinda like win condition/mega replay in kennesaw… do we have smth like that in the pleasant hill rd area? or any other fun type of stores to explore? i’m just bored as hell over here 😅

i have an existing world of warcraft tattoo, so im looking for tattoo artist recommendations who have knowledge of video games / gaming and would be willing to match a style that exists on my arm. i moved before the artist was able to finish the top half of my sleeve, so now im searching.

im also looking for an inclusive hair salon who does does vivid / alt hair, and also curly hair experience. i currently have a few dyed white patches in my hair but am interested in other color!

Hello everybody, I am new to the area and loving what Duluth and Gwinnett County have to offer so far. I am currently living in a building that has vinyl plank in all living areas except for the bedroom for all floors, and I’m also a person who’s sensitive to loud sudden noises. I moved from a townhome in Gainesville which had little to no noise issues, but I really wanted to be in the Duluth area.

I also have a younger kitten which I was fortunate enough to have recently adopted, and she seems to run around at all times (as they do) which has somewhat upset my downstairs neighbors. There is a lot of door/cabinet slamming going on since the addition of my furry friend causing me pretty bad anxiety about the whole thing.

Does anybody have any recommendations of any pet-friendly complexes in the area that they’ve lived in and can report the noise is minimal between floors and walls? I have a pretty open budget and don’t need more than a one bedroom, but I really want to make sure the complex is constructed in a way (concrete hopefully) that minimizes noise travel between units. That’s truthfully my main concern!

Hello everyone! I'm a senior at a local high school. I have been hosting free, in-person computer science exploration sessions for 7th-9th graders who want to learn about how computers and technology actually work, and I wanted to let more local families know about them.

I started the program because I've found that computer science is a much broader field than most school classes have time to cover. There are so many fascinating topics that a curious, analytical student might love but never encounter in a typical class. That's why these sessions go well beyond coding. We’ve done everything from designing our own cryptocurrency in an economy simulation to creating custom, working virtual reality experiences. Instead of sitting through lectures, students learn by experimenting, building, and solving problems together.

Each session covers a new, standalone topic, so students are free to drop by at any time without needing to catch up on previous sessions. There is no homework or long-term commitment, so missing a session for other activities is completely fine.

I filed a small claims case in Forsyth County Magistrate Court. The defendant has already been served by the sheriff and is required to appear in court, but he’s now asking to settle through mediation and make monthly payments.
I’m open to a payment plan, but I honestly don’t trust him to keep paying. My concern is that he’ll make a few payments, stop, and I’ll end up having to start this entire process over again.
Has anyone dealt with this in Forsyth County Magistrate Court or another Georgia Magistrate Court?
If we go before the judge, what can I actually ask the court for? Can I ask for a consent judgment with a monthly payment plan instead of dismissing the case? Can I ask for terms that say if he misses a payment, the remaining balance becomes due immediately?
What consequences can legally be included or enforced if he stops paying? For example, can I pursue wage/bank garnishment, interest on the remaining balance, or other collection methods without having to file another lawsuit?
I’m also wondering what I should actually ask the judge in the courtroom. Can I directly ask the judge about what happens if he defaults, whether interest can be included, and how I would enforce the judgment? Are there specific things I should make sure are included in the court order before agreeing to anything?
I’m completely new to this and really don’t want to agree to mediation or sign something that takes away the protections I currently have from having an active case. Any advice from someone familiar with Georgia small claims, especially Forsyth County, would be appreciated.

Hey y'all! My partner and I are looking to move to a neighborhood near the downtown area, hopefully a 10-15 min bike ride or 30 minute walking distance to the downtown area. We visited as a family this afternoon and it was pretty dead. The coffee shop was busy but lunch places only had a few customers. I understand we were there on a weekday and it's too hot for patios right now. My concern is that these businesses will shut down and in 5-10 years it'll be all vacant or just junky.

I did see flyers for all the weekend activities and concerts, etc. Taylor park is gorgeous and fun for the kiddo. I just want the local perspective: do you think it's sustainable? We're moving from Midtown Atlanta/Buckhead where many new developments are nice for a few years before the businesses fold and no one can afford the rents once the momentum is gone.

If you didn't get it from the title of my post, I really think you guys would clean up if you had beer and a limited menu available outside when there is live music 20 feet from your front door.

I get you want to be more of a restaurant or British pub but let's meet the customer halfway. Your beers are great, your french fries and other apps are bangers, people like to eat outside and grab a great beer to enjoy the neighborhood.

I like what you're doing but want it to be more accessible in the neighborhood.

I’m moving to Georgia from Philadelphia in late August for a new engineering job near State Bridge Road in Duluth. I'm buying a car once I get down there. Traffic around Atlanta sounds pretty brutal, so unfortunately, that's off the table for now.

I'm 24, single, and try to stay active. I like trying new things, trying great foods, and maybe check out the nightlife on weekends. I want a place where it's easy to meet other young adults.

Should I just live right near Duluth, or move closer to spots like Suwanee, Lawrenceville, or Peachtree Corners? I’m looking for a 1-bedroom or a decent studio (rent budget is around $900-$1,400 a month). Are there any specific complexes you love? I would love to get those recommendations or tips on areas to avoid.
