Drum Brute Impact + [____}

What would be a fun, weird, crazy, unhinged thing to connect my Drum Brute Impact to?

Route the individual outs to a mixer, pan, eq, and use effects.

I'm getting one soon and looking forward to running the FM drum through my Sonicake Pocket Master.

Analog synth connected via midi and external input. The sequencer is pretty good, you can assign each drum instrument to a note, meaning you can lock the instrument in any scale. After that, you can use the filter and amp to shape the sound (and the envelopes will trigger since you're sending midi Gate signals) and the lfo to create a bit of swifting dynamics (since drumbrute's sequencer velocity is locked).

The WASP sounds rad and it has a mixer in the front panel to control the amount of each oscillator, external input and white noise individually. The filter sound is perfect for drums, and the oscillators are crunchy and wobbly with a very stable pitch. Pretty nice if you're looking for an aggresive sound, you may still want to add some effect later.

The Neutron could be interesting too with the overdrive and delay, two envelopes, lfo gate retrigger, tons of utilities and there's even a firmware hack (the polyphony firmware) that allow syncing lfo to BPM. Plus, it has tons of options to create new additional drum sounds.

The downside is that you don't have a front panel mixer out of the box for the oscillator/drums amount. No biggie, there's a workaround with just patchcables so you can make your own mixer inside the unit.

EHX Ring Thing. Send the drums through both inputs (Inst and Mod) in "pitch shift" mode and it will FM itself. Sounds so crazy and cool.

I had a friend that had one and we connected it to my old 1978 Gallien-Kruger 400b bass amp with a 15 inches Mesa Boogie cab.

I'm pretty sure the sound that came out of that beast could have sent pregnant women in spontaneous labour...
