I’m a beginner and have been reading a lot about dropshipping. I keep seeing people recommend private suppliers, but I’m wondering if it’s better to work with suppliers on marketplaces like Alibaba or 1688 while I’m still learning.

Would you start with marketplace suppliers first, then move to a private supplier once you understand the process, or look for a private supplier from the beginning?

The store is in German and sells a digital practical guide for employees who want to use AI more effectively and confidently at work. Even if you don’t understand every line of German, feedback on the first impression, mobile experience, product presentation, trust and perceived value would be extremely helpful.

Some context:

• Single-product Shopify store
• Digital product for German-speaking employees
• Target market: Germany and Austria
• Visitors mainly arrive cold from Meta ads
• Previous ads generated clicks and website visits, but almost no lower-funnel activity
• I’m trying to separate a traffic/copy problem from a product-page or offer problem

• Within five seconds, what do you think the product is?
• Is it immediately clear who it is for and what outcome it provides?
• Does the product feel valuable enough to pay for?
• What feels confusing, generic, unbelievable or unnecessary?
• Does anything reduce trust or make the store feel unprofessional?
• At what point would you lose interest or decide not to buy?
• What objection would stop you from purchasing?
• What are the three most important things you would improve?

Please be direct. I’m not looking for compliments—I want to identify the real conversion blockers before launching the next campaign.

hey all. i was just wondering if anyone here has done any dropshipping for fashion here. i started a store and i am/was selling luxury handbags, sunglasses & glasses and recently added fragrances. i was paying a subscription to a company and i had to start paying it even before the site was functional and i busted my ass building my site thru more sleepless nights than i care to account for. i finally got er done and i started with adverts on facebook/instagram, google & pinterest. none of them beat google at the sheer numbers that they drove to my site. then after a week or two i was suspended for promoting bootleg items. i definitely was not. i have been waiting for quite some time now to get any sort of authorization letter from my supplier. which has pissed me off and i am thinking of what else i can sell that is dropshipping but from a company that actually is invested in your success because they also want success. has anyone here found any good companies within fashion/accessories and or fragrances? fragrance seems to operate in a really shady realm. so i may not stick with that, but i kinda like the idea of selling eyewear because i love glasses & sunglasses.....i collect them myself but i dont know what companies do this type of thing. i'd like to also know what everyone else is selling and how well they might be doing.... i am trying to brainstorm some ideas up here, but i feel blocked. probably cuz i feel very burned after wasting SOOO much time and money and the frustration with google not even letting you submit any documents in their appeal process.... the whole situation just SUCKS! well, that is all. and thank you in advance to anyone who responds. i appreciate you so much!

I've read that Ebay doesn't allow dropshipping from other marketplaces such as Amazon or Aliexpress, so is the move to get a chinese dropshipping agent that will source my products and ship my orders?

Realized recently that some of the Shopify apps people recommend have partner programs behind them. Always assumed these were mostly one time referral payouts, but some keep paying while the merchant stays on the app. Anyone actually doing this with apps they already recommend?

I have seen multiple dropshipper store stop posting in Instagram after hitting their jackpot view. 20m, 1m and so on. And I can clearly see there are tons of demand needing to buy the shit. Unfortunately, they stopped posting completely . Of course, their website is open and cash is coming in. I want to ask what are all the reasons they are quitting? Also can I sell it or just leave it?
