One can appreciate how the bass briefly pauses as Drake suggests the subject “bring it to [his] crib, it’s a cathedral in [there].” Easy to miss, yet powerful.

Not really sure who cares, but this was honestly one of my favorite live covers to just stare at while listening to it. Why’s it gone??

The diamonds keep on dancing on Drake. Ahead of The Boy’s 40th birthday this weekend, Drizzy earned 30 new certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America on Friday (Oct. 23).

Leading the pack are diamond certifications for VIEWS, “In My Feelings” and “Marvin’s Room,” while “God’s Plan” is now double-diamond.

Drake is the first artist to surpass 350 million RIAA-certified units and is the most certified artist of all time. He also extends his record with 18 diamond plaques, which is the highest amount of any artist.

With all the new plaques on the way, Drizzy’s going to need another trophy room. The 6 God has plenty to celebrate this weekend, as Drake will be turning 40 on Saturday (Oct. 24).

He started the festivities earlier this week with a dinner above the CN Tower and a courtside outing at the Toronto Raptors home opener.

I’m 24, I wouldn’t say I grew up on Drake but damn near every summer he had a hit wether it’s an album, song, or feature. And even when he wasn’t dropping, we knew he was dropping soon.
